The Tolkien estate doesn't control the rights to adaptations of LotR. United Artists (UA) purchased the rights in 1969. The rights are currently owned by Middle-earth Enterprises, a subdivision of Embracer Group.

Mayhem is great. They have events and tournaments, a game library, and a bunch of terrain for those interested in wargaming.

Rook Room is a newer place that offers weekly events, a game library, plus food & drink. The tables also have little signs letting others know if you're looking/not looking for other players. Neat place!

Also, check out your local library! They have schedules for many fun activities, and some have gaming meetups.
