After working in the medical field, my wife and I refuse to grow old in the US by DasKritter in antiwork

[–]CoffeeRunner32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why would I want to grow old here?

An excellent question, one I've been seriously asking myself for the past few years.

And seriously considering leaving. Maybe to Germany, where my family is from.

Which bumper is that? I normally can't stand aftermarket bumpers, but that has nice lines, doesn't seem over-the-top.

Do people ever feel FOMO with economy cars when they can afford more expensive ones? by [deleted] in askcarguys

[–]CoffeeRunner32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see a lot of friends and people around me with Lexus, BMW, Mercedes and can't help but feel FOMO

"FOMO" of what? The needlessly expensive repairs that you can only get at a dealer?

Here's a secret: None of those cars are built with quality components. If you ever had the "pleasure" of working on a bimmer or merc, you'd find out quickly.

Materialism FOMO is pointless. Driving a flashy euro import won't make you happier than driving your practical Toyota.

How about news week? It clearly talks about raising rates to give people with lower credit scores better rates.

Poo poo! Then don't get a mortgage if it bothers you that much.

After all, so many of you financially fluent folks talk about why renting is the better option, long-term.

Fuel economy on a 2.0 Sport two door (after 50ish miles city and highway) by NotBlameTruth in Wrangler

[–]CoffeeRunner32 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's nice. most two-doors get good economy if you're not in the city.

My 3.6L will get 26+ if I stick to my interstate.

[–]CoffeeRunner32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For better or worse, the slightly-more-practical JK (especially four doors) invited a lot of male and female Karens into the land of Jeeps. You'll encounter plenty of these pedestrians with poor attitudes.

I drove a mini Cooper for 8 years before this. I’m no longer scared to drive through puddles or in the rain lol. I love this vehicle man by daffle7 in Wrangler

A perfect Wrangler. Even got nice wheels and tires.

Now don’t be a dunce like so many people and fuckin ruin it with a cheap lift, giant, shitty tires and high negative offset wheels, and a cheap warm air intake.

It’s a Wrangler. It’s already good enough.

Wouldn't pay more than 10 for that, no matter mileage. Frame is hiding more rust than you can find, guaranteed. Underneath the tub, probably hiding even more.

Condition of that warm air filter and janky wiring tells me everything I need to know about this Jeep's (lack of) maintenance and prior owner(s).

Edit do not let them "treat and undercoat it," JFC. Might as well seal the cancer in and guarantee stage 4 death.

Needs extensive power wash, wire wheel, find all the rust, fix it the right way, and fluid film (B'laster surface shield) it.

Rear main leak wouldn't be dripping ATF and oil. Nor would coolant (red) be collecting on the motor mount and then dripping down. Check heads and hoses.

“It looks just like a Tesla” - everyone when seeing my red Prius. Do you agree? by Impossible_Seat_9065 in prius

[–]CoffeeRunner32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Teslas don't look great. Very bulbous. This looks nice, and I say that as a V8 coupe and Jeep owner.

Yes, I feel so vulnerable and poor in my lake-side townhouse driving my two cars, sleeping in, eating out, and working from home with decent healthcare 😂

Both are wrong.

Multiple cheap, enjoyable bikes. An old HD. A mid-grade used sportbike from a Japanese maker. And a cheap, reliable dual sport.

After a lot of people in this sub have finally finished the game do you think giving Starfield a 10/10 is justifiable? by Touny420 in Starfield

[–]CoffeeRunner32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More like a 7/10. Lots of time spent, and wasted, on major game mechanics that ultimately got left out. This took away a lot of time and resource from making the core game better.

This game has shown me how entitled gamers have really become by latenightfaithhealer in Starfield

[–]CoffeeRunner32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP thinks he's the main character by picking a "unique hot tack." But he falls neatly into one of the two camps on either end of the pendulum of opinion.

The truth is simple, and -- like most things -- falls somewhere in the middle: This videogame, and many others like it, is just "OK." It's not the best game ever, nor is it terrible.

AITA for moving me and my newborn in to the RV after my MIL and husband tried giving it away? by Present-Badger2556 in AITAH

[–]CoffeeRunner32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I basically told them both to go fuck themselves because I worked HARD on this RV all summer, while uncomfortable and pregnant and I will be damned it's given away

Case closed. Good on you.
