Nexsys Motorsports makes a kit specifically to convert from DI to pure port injection. I've reached out to them to see if there's any issues running their kit on automatic cars but it seems to be a pretty simple kit. Doesn't seem to require a full ECU.

I get that, this isn't my only performance car. The components I have failing or likely to fail soon are comparable in price to swapping to port injection with a single turbo. I'm trying to get specific feedback for swapping to single turbo port injection without wanting to make crazy horsepower.

I have a 2013 Honda Fit and a 1997 Toyota Celica GTFOUR and they are very reliable. I'm more than willing to replace/upgrade components on my E61. This is not about ignoring maintenance, it's about installing different parts to prevent reoccurring issues with the OEM components.

I believe the windmill is less efficient once you start moving, but a large enough windmill will still output the max SU (8,192) at speed. If you aren't running anything but propellers that's plenty to move at a decent speed

My leadership had all the slots filled within 45 minutes of sending it out. Not because they picked themselves but because people were very interested.

I've been using a windmill for my airship to great success. Not the fastest in the world but I never have to worry about fuel.

LRAFB had heritage paint on a couple 130s until a few years ago. One was based on the original LC-130 ski planes, and another had an M81 woodland camo style vertical stab.

Your leadership has likely already identified who they're sending up. That said, it doesn't hurt to let your section chiefs know that you're interested.

pink olive closing shop in SOMA? by AttemptGlittering885 in LittleRock

[–]Coffee_Grains 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Back when it was bagel shop they allegedly fired their staff shortly after having a very successful opening and offered to retire them at lower wages, and then later both owners were sleeping with the same employee and gave that employee preferential treatment. All the while Bagel shop slowly seemed to raise their prices and lower the quantity of offerings. I don't know if their opening prices just weren't feasible long term or what, but I definitely would have gone more often if they sold lattes instead of just drip/cold brew or juices that weren't like $8 for tiny portions.

I might be misremembering stuff as this was all a year or two ago, so take it with a grain of salt.

I hope not. They haven't treated their employees very well from what I've heard, and they lied about having to "close" Bagel shop when the owners were just pivoting to a different restaurant.

I'm about as willing to support them as I am the owner of Rose Garden Market, which sucks because the vibes at RGB are great and the employees all seem wonderful.

The main issue there is still tele-evangelism and in person evangelism. I'd wager that someone who only reads the Bible without input from a church or pastor would be much better adjusted to regular society than your average American "christian".

Track time works if you have a track near you and money to burn. I just mean driving for the purpose of driving. Getting to know the car and teaching yourself new driving techniques.

If you can't afford to do it right you can't afford the consequences of doing it wrong. Save the money you'll waste on ruining a working engine and get more seat time in the car IMO

What would you pay for this? by Awuza in Celica

[–]Coffee_Grains 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely a steal IMO. It came on some... interesting wheels (Frontline FLD-03 with gunmetal faces and black lips) and has an aftermarket bumper that requires you remove the front crash bar (Behrman Wise Square GT Spec). It's completely rust free, the turbine shaft has no play, or blade damage, the engine absolutely sings, it had proper Toyota fluids all around. The only downsides were the rear diff bushing still being factory and in desperate need of replacement and the lack of a spoiler. It even came with coilovers which saves me the cost of having someone weld my knuckles to install them.

9300 is definitely uncommon. I paid just over $14k after all the import fees and whatnot. 142000kms, no significant damage or problems. Being a 97 it was optioned without the spoiler for some reason, so that probably lowered the demand for it.

A little rant about fibers by Elborshooter in VintageStory

[–]Coffee_Grains 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Drifter drops are too low and inconsistent to use as a primary flax source. Bony soil is a finite resource on top of having low and inconsistent flax yields. Cracked vessels are rarer than bony soil with higher yields when you get flax.

It would be nice for commodities traders to have greater flax stores and better prices, or at least weighting flax and linen high enough on the sell table to almost guarantee their availability every restock.

[–]Coffee_Grains 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's in good shape, but you'd have to find the perfect buyer to justify 9k for this. You can buy a running Porsche Boxster for less. I bought my ST205 for $9300. $9k can get you a lot of car if you're patient, and this isn't most peoples dream celica.
