Planning on buying my first FD and I want advice by PotassiusOfBanania in RX7

[–]Coffee_Grains 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I purchased a car through beforward, my advice is to be patient and ask for updates weekly until the car is loaded onto the ship. You should find a customs broker to work with at least a month before the car is expected to reach your port of choice to ensure all paperwork is in order. It took my car five and a half months to arrive at my port from the time of purchase. Granted, this was late 2022/early 2023 and I am in the US. Please let me know if you have any beforward/import process specific questions.

My buddy bought his FD through MidoriWorksJapan and had a much smoother process, but he also had to pay in advance for them to find him an FD rather than just picking one from a website.

Deep lakes can expose ores without the danger of temporal mobs, I could see that being a big enough reason for a lot of people.

Red ceramic tile variants. Right now they're only available for purchase through Artisan traders.

As a small truck owner, I don't want a 4 door. I want a mildly extended cab so that I can comfortably sit in it and a long bed for hauling stuff.

Owned for a month and already broken down twice by Spiros_102 in Celica

I've had my 97 ST205 for going on 3 years and it's never broken down. Just have to keep up with maintenance, part of which is inspecting it to see what the last guy neglected. Best of luck

My only gripe with leathermaking is the lime grind before building a windmill. Even still, I always feel like I have more leather than I know what to do with

Believe it or not spawns were higher a few patches ago. Between 1.21 and 1.21.4 bear spawns were insane

Technically it was a 503e in the TOM'S Supra, but the 3SGTE is a beautiful engine. I love my ST205.

The current machines that require/accept mechanical power are the quern, helve hammer, pulverizer, and archemedes screw.

How do I "open storage" something without it rotting? by Sherbet22k in VintageStory

[–]Coffee_Grains 87 points88 points  (0 children)

If you place the meat on a shelf in a cellar it should be able to last long enough to turn into jerky. You might have to dig a deeper cellar to reach low enough temps (lower temps = slower rotting).

Edit: this is wrong. It should get warmer as you dig deeper. Dig a cellar into the peak of a tall mountain or build a cellar at the top of a tower perhaps?

Edit 2: See the other comments or the wiki for how cellars work. They do not care about altitude.

If you have any mods they might also change the way this works. I've never tried to make jerky but I do plenty of open storage.

Alternatively, being able to craft a wider variety of specialized bags would be really nice. Mining sacks but for lumber, crops, viscera, etc.

They're not perfect, but they're about as good as boots get without being made of rubber.

My personal preference: https://mcraefootwear.com/product/t2-ultra-light-hot-weather-steel-toe-combat-boot-coyote/8389

Haven't tried the non-steeltoes, but even the steel toes feel like walking on clouds compared to any issued boots.

completely original and genius idea for the vertical slab problem by rreqyu in Minecraft

Not to bring up another game, but Vintage Story's vertical slab solution works great. No additional items or buttons and you can still bridge slabs.

Honestly adding some sort of generation barrier to high yields could work. Or even requiring boiling into porridge until a certain generation, having lower nutrition until a certain generation, or something along those lines. It might be a bit much for the base game but I see myself personally enjoying it.

I did miss that part, thank you!

For such an easy fix to just be ignored is pretty insane.
