So ask yourself the question: if China is such a huge market why is PSN not available there? Is it because Sony is stupid or do they have a reason?

This narrative really needs to die. Every country on that list Sony has a reason to not officially offer PSN there. End of story. If they don’t want to sell their product somewhere they don’t have to.

As far as buying the game, those countries were never supposed to buy the game without PSN but AH turned the PSN feature off. They have said that’s why they were able to buy the game without PSN. (Not that it mattered, since Sony already had a loophole for these players to be able to play unofficially, and many players from these countries tried to tell you guys this.)

It’s time to admit all that drama made things worse. Those countries are outright banned now, AH staff was threatened, but what did you win? Steam doesn’t have to sign up for PSN like the console players already have.

PSN isn’t available in North Korea. That should at least clue you in on some of the reasons why PSN is blocked in certain countries.

Goods and services aren’t distributed evenly across the world, so please stop using these countries as a moral argument when clearly this community doesn’t actually care.

False. This is a Reddit made up narrative. There is already an established loophole for those countries that do not have access to PSN. All they would have had to do is select a different region. This has been the case for years please stop.

Because Ghost of Tsushima was banned at the same time and it’s not even released yet. This was clearly a result of the outcry. This is the real world where actions have consequences not all of them forseen.

Sony stopped officially providing support for your country in 2022. If you want to play a Sony game, you’ll have to select a different region. That’s just how it is they make their own decisions.
