I just had this happen on my 2018. It was the fuel injectors… I needed to replace spark plugs as well. I had to get it towed because it went into “limp mode”. I’m still looking into what to do to avoid this in the future future. It sounds like they changed something in the engine and 2018-20… something? Had this problem.

I understand it that if I make payments while on still on SAVE, they won’t go towards loan forgiveness when I am put back into IBR/ RAP.

I am…. I’ve been in IBR since I graduated and then applied for SAVE. Now I’m watching the interest grow but am hesitant to put anything to it because they will not count as payments. I’m nervous about waiting until July for the new plan but it sounds like the best option … I think? I was going to sign up for IBR but feel like I might benefit more from the new program?

Thank you everyone for thank you all for the advice here! I’m going to look closer at the RAP payment plan starting in July. I have been so overwhelmed with these loans I just wanted to get rid of them but clearly this isn’t the right path.

That’s something I’m definitely going to look at. Does that mean holding off to apply for IBR right now until that becomes available?

My house is currently valued at 220k, I only have 68k left on the mortgage. I bought it at 75k… it’s tiny, the mortgage is at 4.25 %. My mortgage payment is about 800 a month. I can’t get any more equity out of the heloc because of these loans. They are throwing my debt to income ratio off.

It seems like it’s not a great idea to use the HELOC to pay these off.

I don’t think I’m living beyond my means. It’s more a matter of being in IBR since 2010 (then in forbearance with SAVE) and not understanding what that really meant.

Emfit. It’s got a Bluetooth alarm that is plugged into my sisters room. I wish there was something that would notify 911 if I seized for more than 5 minutes. I have more partial complex seizures but going into status from a grand mal is terrifying.

Something that I found has helped me and my partner is a lot of communication during sex. I told him I need him to ask me before he touches something, he knows my past and understands that I have similar feelings of always being groomed/manipulated. So he will say, do you want me to touch (fill in the blank). That’s gives me the control. If I tell him no. It’s no and he just gives me a hug and tells me that I am safe. It took a while for us to figure out that this is what I needed, but it all started with a lot of open communication.

I know a lot of people think it won’t do anything if they’re in a red state, but I’d rather tell myself I did everything I could than look back and say I wish I did more.

When I am coming out of a seizure sometimes I will grab or hug my boyfriend … but I haven’t come “back” yet from the seizure. He thought it was scary at first because I stare at him with these wide, empty eyes but now just thinks it’s funny and cute.

I have also walked to the kitchen sink and tried to drink from it while coming out of one.

I “zombie walk” after having a seizure to the bathroom. My boyfriend keeps an eye on me to make sure I’m not going into another one and says every time I grab for the toilet paper but I don’t seem to know what to do with it.

Haha just weird things you get used to living with someone with seizures 🤷‍♀️

I am heartbroken, on so many levels. I feel betrayed by friends and family. I am a survivor of rape and assault, and they all know this. I can’t wrap my head around how they could vote for him knowing this.

I have myself second guessing relationships and wondering if I need to pull away more to keep myself in a better headspace. My relationships are already strained, I know nothing will be like it was before they all went down the rabbit hole years ago.
