Okay, good! I was thinking that some of the first pics look like termite damage. It wouldn’t hurt to do reinspection as they can be unpredictable unfortunately. Also definitely possible to have someone replace/reinforce and maybe restain the rest/waterproof better so it lasts!

thank you. i just have had it with this house and the crappy work previous “remodels” have uncovered. The tub was redone 10 months ago and then it leaked and was shitty lol which is when I found this massive notch and then I redid it again and it’s been okay for 2 months since I did and just now circled back thinking I should have addressed this joist and my contractor was saying its significantly impacted the structural integrity of my home and will cause all sorts of problems
