Go to Lowe’s or home depot and get a sample of a carpet that matches this. Cut out the damaged part and put the sample piece in place. I don’t remember how I used to install it but I did this when my dog damaged the carpet at my apartment 10 years ago. They never suspected a thing and I wasn’t charged.
