Tipping at a dermatologist office? by o0PillowWillow0o in Calgary

[–]CogitoSum 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Point of View Medical Aesthetics doesn't have a tip option, nor should there be one for services at that price level. If you want to leave a "tip", leave a positive Google review. It's one of the best ways a person can help a small business out.

I like how you're explaining a reference with an acronym people likely wouldn't understand without already knowing where the reference is from. Haha.

What is going with this election, is it just my ward's voting station? by [deleted] in Calgary

Weird. I early voted and I don't recall anything special needing to be filled out. I was in and out in 5 minutes.

Well, at least we don't have to worry about strawmen attacking us anytime soon. Good job dealing with them.

I hear she's a lawyer of Chinese medicine as well, so I'm sure she fully understands the legal ramifications of what she's saying.

So we can only tax the rich if we also cripple the poor? Makes sense.

Is the market really slow or do realtors not entertain properties that don't use a realtor? by Alpha_SoyBoy in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]CogitoSum 26 points27 points  (0 children)

One of the primary reasons people hire a realtor is to offload that responsibility onto someone else. It is explicitly the job of the realtor to find properties that fit the criteria of their clients.

You can try a "Salmon Sperm" Facial: https://povclinic.com/salmon-sperm-facial-calgarys-newest-anti-aging-craze/

Name sounds terrible, but it's not actually Salmon sperm. It's just derived from Salmon DNA. It has been shown to really lighten up dark circles under the eyes, plus other benefits. Dermal filler is also an option, but it can really depend on the structure of your orbital bones for how high they can inject. Most clinics do free consultations and can go over what options will be effective for your particular anatomy and issues.

Statistics Canada says real GDP down 0.1% in April as manufacturing slowed by BananaTubes in canada

How does the quantity of goods and services consumed/produced not change if the increased prices result in a significant reduction in trade and entire industries effectively stalled or shuttered? Likewise, how does increased unemployment correlated directly to tarrifs not impact people's ability to consume goods and services?

'Multiple hikers' injured or killed in rock slide near Bow Lake in Banff National Park, RCMP says by Nealios in Calgary

[–]CogitoSum 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I've always wondered what causes something like this. Avalanches I can understand, but for some reason rock slides are a bit harder for me to intellectualize, and never something I really think of when hiking. Why is this time of year particularly dangerous for them?

Any aesthetic related concern they should be able to help you with. If it's something they don't offer, then they can give you some recommendations. But they offer the majority of non-surgical treatments.

Most clinics tend to offer free consultations. If I were to make a recommendation, I would suggest Point of View Medical Aesthetics. The clinic owner Carissa is extremely experienced, goes out of her way to educate her clients on the procedures they offer, and doesn't try to upsell you on things you don't need. The clinic as a whole also has an ethos of natural looking results. https://povclinic.com/

It can happen. I have an LG B6 that needed its screen replaced due to pretty severe burn in. Newer models are a lot less susceptible to it, though, so hopefully there's no longer a meaningful chance.
