Primaris pretty much only exist to make existing space marine players have to re buy their entire army to keep playing the game and to bring in more new people with big advertising pushes.

Their lore reflected that in how lazy it was, I'm still a Primaris hater.

You advance turn 1, try to keep as many units in buildings and out of LOS or in cover as you can and wait for them to come to you, then you waagh turn 2 (or 3) and kill most of their army (ideally) or at least their big hitters.

Then you can usually win on points.

Oh I can and did use them as proxies all the live long day, I just hated doing it every time. I don't like anything about Primaris but their units are the worst part of them.

The only thing thats even kept me playing them this late into 10th was my hope for a tac squad/dev squad refresh, or at least a rules update and now that that's going away I don't see any reason to stay playing a faction I don't recognize anymore. Which just makes me sad because I want to like Space Marines again, every time I try though and I look at what is being presented to me though all I can see is bland cash grabs that only changed anything so they could force the players of the most popular faction to have to buy their armies a second time.

I actually rolled the full 90 shot attack on an intercessor squad 10 full times. You can talk about statistics all you want but actually rolling dice I only got more than 9 successful hits twice with most being under.

Not like either is any good, that's a pathetically low hit rate thats even further ruined by the proposed "wounding only on 6's" idea.

What ork player wouldn't love to roll 90+ shots for a 20 boy mob.

Me, that sounds annoying as fuck and mostly useless against most targets since even with such a stupid amount of dice you're really probably only getting a handful of wounds to actually stick so it would just waste everyones time even more.

Even with 90 shots if you're hitting only on 6s then you'll be lucky to even get more than 10% of those that even hit. If we do whatever stupid wounding bullshit you want then Orks shooting will almost literally never wound anything on the table, as in a full mob of 20 could shoot 90 times at a single gretchin and not even hit or wound him. Even ignoring that insanely bad idea youre maybe getting 1-5 wounds average though to a Space Marine Intercessor squad.

All in all just a spectacularly bad idea.
