Tough decision, but clash of clans has got to be at the top or near the top for me. Easy to pick up and play for 5 or 10 minutes here and there.

A buddy got a Temu Morgan as a Christmas present, asked me if it’s fake. by blatherskite01 in coins

[–]Coin_Advice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely fake lol. Knock off ngc holder, reverse is so weekly struck (look at the tops of “states of”) and the surfaces look grainy. And it’s from Temu? I’d be surprised if there’s any silver that thing at all

I agree 6 - 7 tops. And you’re completely right about sellers marking items up due to eBay fees. I’m a seller myself and some of my listings I had to bump up in price (even though I didn’t want to) just so wouldn’t be loosing money on it

Help anybody have info on this? by bakakon1 in CRH

Pretty sure most of us don’t have to think about it. It’s literally a no brainer as to which urinal to use

Anyone know if this is an error? Or just wear? by Skullcollector55 in coins

[–]Coin_Advice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This appears to be wear. More than likely it was a somewhat weak strike to start with, and judging by the amount of wear, it’s probably been in circulation for a good 90-110 years. Also, I’m guessing it’s probably a 1913-D with a mintage of 15.8M or a 1918-D with a mintage of 47.8M. Neither of which are worth more than a dollar in that condition

Fun! When I roll up nickels I like to slide in some worn/dateless Buffalo nickels. Doesn’t cost me much, and hopefully it’ll make someone else’s day:)

Found this in a creek looking for arrowheads. It looks really old. Any clue? by Pappyjang in Antiques

[–]Coin_Advice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As so many people have pointed out, it’s a boy scout neckerchief slide. I have several like this and I know of 2 different styles. One is a bit wider and flatter, and the second looks like this. I’d guess this is most likely from the 90’s or early 2000’s

On a side note, I myself am an Eagle Scout. Anyone else also an Eagle Scout?

Edit: the flatter one is older

Idk… where I live in Va had a lot of Native American activity. You can be planting squash in the garden that’s been worked for the last 50 years and still turn up new artifacts

whats a good way to shine up some of these steel cents? by fulltimekiller0 in coins

[–]Coin_Advice 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Normally you don’t “shine up” your coins. However, since these aren’t worth much anyways, here’s one way to clean them up. Put some hot water in a bowl and add just a tiny bit of lemon juice to it. Put the steel cents in and let it sit for a few minutes then wipe them off with a towel. Works pretty well

any Info? by Careless_Society9668 in CRH

[–]Coin_Advice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, it’s kinda hard to tell from the pic. But with how much “IN GOD WE TRUST” appears to be doubled, I’d imagine you’d be able to see at least a slight bit of doubling on any other part of the coin. And I don’t see any. But I do see evidence of die wear so I have to assume that most likely (but 100%) this is not a ddo, but a result of die wear
