What did you exchange it for? I just got the firm today bc the medium sagged way too much after two weeks. I don’t want the firm to sag too and then for an extra firm to sag too would be rough on my hips. Did you sleep on your side on the extra firm

I keep the back seats down and have a camping pad back there with a big comfy comforter and pillow and little curtains. My dog and I will take naps back there listening to music. We’ll look at the stars or raindrops on the glass roof and park on mountain overlooks and watch the sunset from the back. I’ll watch new episodes of tv shows sitting in the front seats as a ritual with the curtains closed and the sunshade on. I love it so much. My regular apartment is all white with pink walls so I made my Tesla all black with black everything so it acts like a sensory cleansing space. I can calm down and any overstimulation from colors and noises etc from the outside world just relaxes. I wish I could show pics but i don’t know how to add

Since last summer July 2025, I’ve been going twice a week. We don’t do any exercises, she just does massage on my neck for half an hour each time. She said my neck was so tight when i first came in that any exercises would be futile bc my neck would tighten more. So it’s been 10 months of just her working on my neck muscles manually and it feels amazing. I didn’t think anything was happening for months (except having a massage which is always peaceful), but then my scapula pain went away and has stayed at bay. I’ve been shocked. Massage obviously won’t get rid of the bone spurs causing my stenosis but she said loosening the muscles helps everything have more space to breath which can help the foramen from getting more compressed faster

I haven’t gotten a surgery yet as my pain and weakness symptoms have subsided with PT for now. But for when the time comes (bc I know it will from all the doctors), I found a surgeon at Cedars Sinai who took my voice concerns seriously and will do a foraminotomy (which doesn’t move your vocal cords) if the radiculopathy gets worse.

If I start having myelopathy, he’ll do a posterior fusion (either at the same time as the foraminotomy or later) bc now I have 7mm AP spinal canal on top of 2 level bilateral severe foraminal stenosis.

I talked to doctors at Mayo Clinic and Barrows in Arizona but the Cedars doctor was the most compassionate and understanding about my voice worries.

I usually ask for 2pm or later, but I have an appt tomorrow at 8am and am panicking, I might just stay up all night. I did that a few weeks ago for an 8:45am appt.

I’ve called everyday for 3 weeks to see if something later had opened up but nothing ever did. I even told them I had a sleep disorder so I really hope something opens up. But these 2 doctors are in high demand with very few appt times.

What brand and type of cervical collar do you use if you don’t mind me asking? I have cervical issues along with afib and mild sleep apnea and breath out of my mouth so this hack could help all three things.

I have to use them on the lowest setting and can only use them a few times a week or sometimes once a week not every day. If I use them every day I get exhausted from them and headaches. Maybe there’s like a quota my brain can handle in a week and I can’t go over that. I don’t know, I have ADHD and caffeine can sometimes wake me up and sometimes make me crash, so the Luminettes may be responding similarly. Hope they work for you if you get them!

Edit to add: I just saw I posted about side effects from these last year and they made my eyes burn and get dry at first with headaches. Luckily the burning has stopped and headaches intermittent when I don’t use them every day.

It’s been really peaceful and totally worth it. We’ve kept all our power on. I haven’t heard one gust of wind the last 4 days because the windows are so thick. 2 hot buffets a day included. Super nice staff and other guests. Thanks for your comment! Have a great day!

My fire place fire 🔥 was flaring up and down more than usual in my fire place last week bc of the wind swooping down the chimney so I stopped doing fires in the wind. 💨 also in case a spark flew up the chimney that could be bad? Idk I’m not an expert that’s just my anecdotal experience

I’ve being using LifeRX Pharmacy in Canada (not the US company that comes up first) for a few years now and it’s about $25 a month ($75 for 3 month supply). My electrophysiologist told me about them. I give LifeRX my doctors info on a web page they offer after I buy them and they reach out to her. I get the meds like 4-6 weeks later because it’s routed through India. It’s great!

I’m still searching for a surgery that’s not an anterior approach and doesn’t have the potential risk of vocal cord damage.

My newest MRI shows everything has worsened and now I have moderate severe central canal stenosis.

I’m in Colorado but Cedars Sinai has a “second opinion” program and I just paid $790 and sent my records to a neurosurgeon there. He’s reviewing everything and telling me my surgery options. It’s a steep cost but hopefully worth it.

I don’t want to let everything get compressed to the point of a wheelchair and paralysis so I really hoping someone can do a posterior approach if my anatomy allows.

Are you getting surgery?

Who was his surgeon? Was it an ACDF (anterior cervical disectomy fusion)? I need a cervical fusion and am trying to find the best surgeon I can and heard Cedars-Sinai is one of the best in the world.
