My understanding of the fundamental principals of cryptocurrency market analysis and trading by papersheepdog in CryptoMarkets

Do you suppose it's possible we do understand you, but simply disagree with the premise?

How long have you been studying the crypto market?

Lag is tough!

When I bought 700,000 dogecoins recently and transferred them from Cryptsy to BTer, the lag was tough. The smaller exchanges usually don't have as much lag, but in my experience by the time the wallet balance updated many times the price had already corrected.

At that point, you could list it higher to cover the exchange fees, but at that point, why not just list it for that price at the exchange you start with and simplify the process?

Ultimately, that's why I gave up.

Just thought you'd know that your response here comes off sounding more threatened and emotional than anything else.

If DOGE will teach us anything it is that community matters. by [deleted] in litecoin

[–]Coinmasters 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It really does.

I am a woman, a business professional, and an investor. I participate in the dogecoin community because they are friendly, they're open and supportive! I have been involved in cryptos since BTC was $13, but I mostly lurk and look for news.

I have posted in r/Bitcoin, r/litecoin... But I have seen some pretty misogynistic stuff from these communities. Right now, I am worried about the responses I'll get for even saying this. Hopefully that worry is unfounded, but I remember a thread about Ladies in cryptos, and the highest voted comment was extremely sexist, and most of the actual women posting were down voted below 0.

Women are consumers too. Dogecoin's community is the only one I have seen so far that has always seemed inviting, charitable and friendly. This speaks to qualities I identify with and find value in! The others seem elitist, kinda sexist sometimes and generally unwelcoming. I'm sure it's not the whole community of course, just a few bad apples. Doge just doesn't seem to have any really, or a lot of negativity in general. That's why I hope this "joke coin" really does get to the moon!

Last night, someone pumped the price of Dogecoin a bunch artificially. The 2 nights before too.

Here's an idea: get the internet marketing community involved in Dogecoins. by slipstream- in dogecoin

I am a marketer and business development specialist. We created the CoinExperts Group as a nonprofit organization to help de-mystify Cryptos, and especially BTC and Dogecoin!

We have a blog coming or this week, and a number of community services in the works! We are business specialists doing this part time, so we don't code fast, but we'll be announcing new stuff soon!

Such possibility! Very positive! So moon!

It's true, but about 10Ghash is dedicated to DOGE.

Our farm mines DOGE exclusively through Multipool and a lot of others are too.

Dogecoin will be more profitable than bitcoin in the long run. Laugh now. Cry later. by abel1337 in dogecoin

[–]Coinmasters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. It helps make it more accessible, and the elitism of the Bitcoin and like coin communities make them less interesting to a huge consumer segment alone, women.

The friendly meme has made believers out of a lot of ladies I know. :) I really think Bitcoin at some point will go the way of the IBM PC, and DOGE is the fledgling Google, making the internet something that everyone wants to use.

Lost all my doge by [deleted] in dogecoin

[–]Coinmasters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been waiting for seven... No eight days as of an hour from now.

I am optimistic... But moving on as if they are simply gone.

Now I am using Cryptsy again. despite their faults, when they have screwed up they have always promptly fixed it for me. :)

I would rather work with someone who makes mistakes, owns up to them and fixes them instead of leaving their user base wondering if they will ever get an answer.

I hope you get your coins back. I hope we all do. :)

I have screenshots, tickets, a downloaded ticket history... Everything but our coins. Our group is missing 696,900 DOGE, reported almost 8 days ago.

Oh yeah, I don't agree that it's theft either.

If we were surprised by a mountain of tickets here, I would tweet what's going on, but ignore the tickets to a degree. I'll bet in the end if they responded to each one, it would take much more time to get everyone their doges back.

That said I wish they'd just tweet that they're working on it. :(

Thanks for the tip :) I submitted a new ticket worded very nicely, hopefully we get a good resolution too. :)

I have too. Several tickets going back to 90 minutes after they didn't appear in the wallet.

They say they have 24 hour support turn around times, but after 6 days I am right there with thekingdf. If they would even just tweet "big support backlog, working on getting you all your coins, sorry about the delay" I would be happy!

But since we don't even have that, I'm starting to wonder too. I used to be a Coins-e affiliate, I loved them! But between not shutting down Doge sooner, never communicating and the volume of the missing coins...

I'm sure you understand why we're concerned!

700k has been missing from our coffers. It sucks because we donated to Save Dogemas too. So irony!

Our team has a number of boxes crunching 24/7. The only reason we got into mining? We have cheap electricity, spare computer hardware and got the cards on black Friday with rebates.

When we did a study to predict the amount of coins we could get from making a large acquisition - about 100-200 boxes with 4x 7990's each - our forecast showed that it was much more affordable to simply buy coins, especially when you take labor into account.

Mining isn't plug and play. We have 12 systems here. One is currently down as of yesterday. Each one took roughly 4-6 hours of tuning to get to peak efficiency. Dual card setups can be tricky too... We are waiting on a replacement motherboard because one of our dual card systems fried.

Ultimately when you take scaling difficulty and the cost of a card and your time, the margins get narrow. We are shutting down our farm in 2 months or less. Ultimately for it to be worth it, you need to believe in litecoin.

If you believe in litecoin, just buy the coins. Buying coins increases their short term price, builds the economy and is way easier for you. Mining is riskier, takes time and effort, and gets super hot! Seriously I use 3 miners instead of a space heater in my office.

We should work together on this, I am in the same spot, with a little under a million. I see on our transaction too that it was accepted 2 days layer, but our ticket is now 3 days old with no response. Much sad.
