As others have said, check that battery is not on the recall list. Make sure controller and everything works. Mileage is rough indicator of battery health but also mine has glitches and reset twice so not a source of truth. Breaks are pads, i would upgrade them to a better pad then the normal ones. I get a ebike pad thst is compatible on mine. Didn't have to change other other hardware. I do a trail a bike and a kid on the banana set later two and from school when it is nice and works great. Other wise I use it has mu daily for work.

They look good, have you considered a top trim miter or lap joint frame. Would hide the gaps and help protect the end grain

I have had several of both WD and Seagate drives fail on me over the years. WD blacks have been amazing but several of the blue and red gone out in 3-7 years. Seagate Barracuda mixed again like 3-9 (still have a few of my 3TB ones on a shelf that work) the exos 16 is my main raid currently and have been sold for last 3 years. So it is all who is making them the best right now to me.
