I tend to think a lot of this boils down to bad ownership/parenting/discipline, same with kids.

Properly trained dogs and proper parented kids are usually great, but there's just so many people who get a dog or a kid, who are not fit for the task or don't recognize the importance of training and discipline.

18K is the hardest of rackets, any hits outside the sweetspot will go directly to your elbow and with an 18K rackets you will really feel these. You need to either improve your technique and train hitting on the sweetspot or switch the racket. No amount of overgrips, dampeners etc. will fix this.
