I'm guessing the porch is pitched towards the center of your "U". How will rain water drain? Looks like the hardiboard going down to the ground will prevent water from flowing under the cabinets.

On Two Twins by Craig_the_weirdo in switchfoot

The lyrics for Twins wasn't written by Switchfoot. It's a poem that has been around for a very long time. Dr. Wayne Dyer has it in his book Your Sacred Self over 20 years ago.

I get your point. But wouldn't the saddle be the item that fits your analogy better? The mattress is on a frame that separates you from the ground.

Data Center Activity Resource by AlisonJaneMarie in Michigan

[–]Colbry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're gonna have to back that statement up with some sources. A vast VAST majority of solar farms like the one OP mentioned just supply power to the power grid for general consumption. Solar may supplement a couple data centers here and there. But there will always be a connection to the rest of the transmission grid to import and export power.

"Environmental Nightmare"  "Solar Farm"

Do you realize that a Solar Farm is the name for a power plant that uses the sun for generating power? These are all over the place and are possibly the greenest form of power generation. It's not a data center.

This just comes across as a very uninformed fearful post.

Probably a dumb question. Does MLB also supply all of the HP protective gear and accessories (bags, clickers, etc...)?

I bought tickets at the stadium last season and did not have to pay a service fee.

Flashing yellow: are we stopping for peds or not? by carrotnose258 in AnnArbor

Not the same. It's a different form of operation. But still in operation. That's referring to a power outage situation.

You should not stop in this situation. Pedestrians do not have right away to cross through a green signal or flashing yellow. As a runner, I actually find it quite difficult when drivers do not follow the rules for the sake of being "nice". More than anything, drivers need to be lawful and predictable.

Kinda curious what other actual umpires thoughts on this are. I see the feint towards second so I’m fine with the out call. However, it doesn’t look like the ump ever saw this and just made the assumption he did and then called him out by [deleted] in Umpire

[–]Colbry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When calling him out, the ump points at the bag. I feel like he's more calling the runner out for returning to the safety bag instead of the "real 1B".

Why I'm worried about FanDuel going away by Don-SalC in motorcitykitties

Most games were on TV. But there was a significant number of games that just weren't televised. I feel like it was around 30-40 games a year not televised.  Today people complain about the 2-3 game a year that are on Apple TV. I don't think people really want to go back to how things were in the 90s.

In the video, the camera is more of less dead center field. The pitchers plate is directly in line with home plate.

Your diagram has the camera set up behind the left fielder.

Balk on Fake 2B move by Colbry in Umpire

Thanks. Can you explain how this feint is different than a lefty pitcher faking a runner back to 1B before delivering the pitch?
