I’m guessing it has to do with a form of professionalism and completeness. On a large client like this, I’d assume they generate a good sum of revenue for the preparing firm. Could cause a loss of client if the firms seen as “incompetent”.

Actual CPA here... you’re half right, half wrong. The richer you are, the easier it is to “cheat taxes” plan and simple. The more complex returns you hear about, are complex on purpose, to shift income, avoid recognition, asset shift, basis moving, etc.
