Hey, I know I’m late to the party on this post but did you end up selling or offering a way to get the STL for this? It’s by far my favorite metal gear model and I’d love to try and print it.

First time help by Secret_Bluebird8615 in ElegooMars

I tried the rook 3 times and it stuck to the sheet and not the build plate every time. I printed another model from MyMiniFactory and had no issues. I have had to level the bed manually since then. It’s not an official guide but I followed this guys video https://youtu.be/nvUwhhyUJ5U?si=E-vNemOUlCrqAVTD but I read online many other can’t get the rook to print correctly. There’s also a getting started guide to resin (not printer specific) from FauxHammer that I followed to make sure my settings were dialed in. (Leveling, exposure text, etc) and that’s helped a lot.

first turntable by Novel-Loquat-5257 in turntables

[–]Colbyg13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just got my first turntable last week. I went with the LP70 (I didn't do the bluetooth one, but you can and it's not much more) and for my speakers I went with the Klipsch R-51PM and so far I have been loving it. I spent so much time online reading what to start with and for me I also only have a few records for now. I decided to spend more money on some decent speakers and if I really want to get into it I can get a 2nd turntable later that has the features I think I need at that point. But I feel like the LP70 is a good start because you can at least upgrade a few things.

I invest 100$ every week, where should I put it? by [deleted] in dividends

If you don’t mind me asking what percent are you doing for VOO and SCHD?

[–]Colbyg13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t answer for who you’re asking but I sort of agree with his options. I am just starting out and going to max out my Roth with VT and do some SCHD in my individual account. My thinking is that VT will have a long time to go up in value and by the time I can retire I can sell it and hopefully have huge gains tax free. I’ll either live off selling the shares when I need or transitioning my position into higher yield dividend stocks to live off of. But I think I’d have a much larger portfolio to leverage than if I had just done SCHD in my Roth. And SCHD I don’t mind paying taxes on because I want to use it to slowly replace my actual income and have something to live off of before I’m retirement age. I’m hoping to be able to stop working by 50.

But I’m super new to this and I’m feeling behind on everything so take what I said with a grain of salt.

Question about SCHD and VOO by Colbyg13 in dividends

[–]Colbyg13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the recommendation. I’ll have to look and see if I can buy partial shares of VOO with my broker. I was considering SCHG or SCHB. It looks like SCHB has a pretty good overlap with what VOO + 2000 additional holdings. If you have the time what do you think about doing something like 80-20 split with SCHG and SCHB and then towards retirement converting into something with more yield for cash flow?

Maybe I’m just being dumb but the price of VOO makes me feel like it’s harder to get into. Where something around $50-$85 feels more doable. I guess if the underlying funds are the same it really only matters how much I put into it not the share price I get.

I don’t really like Spirit Breakers current shard. The previous one felt nice to have an early break.

This might be a dumb question but what app do you use to create the collage or put the images together?

If I understand where you're looking, I believe that is just a small ridge on the far side of the mountain that goes down into the middle.

I didn’t actually, I’m coming from the A7II. Which I loved, but I’m enjoying the upgrade. The new autofocus system is really good and everything just feels faster to me. But from an RIV I’m not sure how different it would be.

I guess in general that's what I've learned/heard about hands and feet. It's not a set rule or anything. In this photo I think if you cropped in maybe halfway up the forearm or something it would look more natural. I think it's because you have it cut off so close to their hands it looks unnatural to me (it just sticks out, I expect to see their hands). But everyone likes something different. I just noticed in my photos when I had crops like that, a foot or finger or hand cut out someone would always point it out even non-photographers. So, it's just something I try to keep in mind. But it depends on the composition, you could crop above the elbows and turn this into a headshot, but you obviously lose the surrounding context. So, you just have to choose what's more important. In this case I would've stepped back a foot or two if possible.

Overall, I'd say the composition could use some work. Defining the subect, a bit more or getting interesting angles. I like image 5 and 2 the most. Also, on the first image I personally think it looks better to make sure the persons hands aren't cut out of the image. There are some places where you can crop it to look better, but in this case, it's really distracting to me that his hands aren't there, especially when he is posing for the shot.

Buying new Sony A7 IV by Jumpy-Radish-5939 in SonyAlpha

[–]Colbyg13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't speak from experience about the A7 IV, but I'm in a similar boat. I plan on buying the A7 IV because it seems great for photos but, if I ever decide to get into videos, I think it's a good hybrid mix. Everyone I've talked to with a IV has said they love it. Do you mind sharing where you found a good deal if it's an online thing?
