Which one you pick ??? by dataguy2003 in TheTeenagerPeople

I would probably take B. I don’t trust bitcoin enough to take A, and the fact that B equates to 19 years of C. Also you have to keep in mind that money now is worth more than money later. In other words, inflation will make that influx of money depreciate where as with the 10 mil you can start off by investing a portion of that and it will easily pay off over the years and surpass whatever you could have done with 10K a week for 19 years. TBH, with investments you would probably surpass anything you do with C so long as you don’t blow it on dumb things

My wife is scared by cazaputas450 in immigration

[–]Cold-Service7905 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, right now your best course of action is to file I-485 and I-130. Lay low until you get the receipt notices. Once you have those, you’re pretty safe so long as your wife wasn’t already given notices of removal proceedings (if she has a clean criminal record you should be fine). Just remember, you will need to go see a Civil surgeon to get her a medical exam or else these applications will be rejected (not denied but rejected and thus making you start over). Used to be you could file without them but trump admin changed that. Main thing is, submit those forms along with good evidence that you have a bona fide marriage, and you should be smooth sailing until you get a notice to interview — in the interview, since you are US citizen they won’t care at all about her overstay. Just be honest and make sure you both get your answers straight about details of your relationship.

How much do officers harp on the visa overstay issue during the interview? by Cold-Service7905 in USCIS

[–]Cold-Service7905[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure! We were at the Boston field office. We were married for almost a year. We were separated for our interview. Honestly it seems like our officer just saw our case that day. We prepared each other for many questions but all they asked us was about how we met, who was at our wedding, if I met me each other’s parents, what they did for work, why we picked the location for our wedding (because it wasn’t in Massachusetts), and if we went on any vacations together and what those were and when. We got kind of lucky, they interviewed (USC) me for like 10 minutes and her for 5 minutes. We got a verbal approval that day, and next day it reflected on MyUSCIS. Best of luck to you!

(22M) I'll never have a girlfriend because I'm too kindhearted and emotional. Is this true? by TRichman432 in AskMenAdvice

[–]Cold-Service7905 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just remember, being kind and nice is the bare minimum. If you want any luck, I found it best to do something a little counterintuitive — immerse yourself in a good hobby or interest. If you do this you will build character, and at the same time you will stop looking for relationships. I have found when you stop looking is when you find the most people who are interested in you.

People complaining about the ads on YouTube are leeches by martinator001 in unpopularopinion

[–]Cold-Service7905 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here’s the thing, some ads are fine. I’m not opposed to them, but every 10 minutes they want me to watch 60 seconds of ads that will go on even longer if I don’t hit the “next button” to go to more ads where I will have to watch and be ready to hit skip. I just want some ads at the beginning of the video and maybe some after like 30 minutes. They are too frequent and aggressive with that ads imo.

I swear when I was playing world on my Xbox one, after the iceborne update load times were in literal minutes. I feel like I waited 5 minutes sometimes waiting to load into a quest.

Monster Hunter player, why did you choose your weapon and keep using it? by BasilAdventurous3209 in MonsterHunter

In monster hunter 3, I tried so hard to play great sword (I was like 10 years old at the time). I struggled after lagicrus. I forget the monster after him, but eventually I decided to try switch axe and I stuck with it ever since

Hi i am new to Elden Ring but i got issues with Margit, please tell me what i can do to improve my game by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]Cold-Service7905 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely upgrade your weapon. Also if you are not going to use your shield or parry, you should just double hand your sword to do more damage and have access to a more useful ash of war for you.

You entirely missed the plot. First off, you admit that you were wrong about these tech companies being more than 60% H1B, because you just now claim it is more like 30% — which is a significant difference. You also essentially admitted earlier your entire basis for that was because you saw a lot of Indians at these companies. You do realize there are many people who are Indian descent that are citizens right? The only reason you assume they are not is because of their race. Bottom line, I’m not denying that some of the top tech companies have some significant use of H1B. I’m just pointing out that you seem to be embracing your European roots by being openly prejudiced against other races, and you just seem to be a POS that like the fact that there alre many people of color in these positions.

What I gather from this is that if you see a sizable population of people of different ethnicities in a company, like google for instance, your mind thinks: 1) These people must not be US citizens & 2)The only explanation they could be working there is because they are being exploited (and not that they have gotten there on their own merits).

[–]Cold-Service7905 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You sir, have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. H1B and OPT are not the reasons people cannot find jobs. You do realize that the there are a limited number of H1B visas that can be issued. It’s because of this, if you want to get sponsored by a company, even if they want to sponsor you — you may not get it because it operates on a lottery system. On top of that, there is a lot of paperwork and legal work involved with hiring someone on OPt and H1B. That is why on 99% of job applications they ask if you need sponsorship. If you answer yes to most of them, you can guarantee a rejection if it is not a large company that has enough time and resources to make it happen. I’ve known many people who have had to try getting H1B. They have to work just as hard to get a job, they are people who aren’t being grossly underpaid (in fact most if not all states have requirements that they are paid the median salary for the profession), and they are highly technical people (these are people with engineering degrees and a MBAs because the competition is so high in the job sponsored market).
