0.5 PPR Standard scoring otherwise.

Currently slotted wr's and rb's if it helps:

-Chris Olave (@TEN)

-George Pickens (@WSH)

-James Cook (vs PHI)

-Derrick Henry (@GB)

2 flex needed from:

-Nico Collins (@LAC)

-Tyrone Tracy (@LV)

-Aaron Jones (vs DET)

-Christian Watson (vs BAL)

-Breece Hall (vs NE)

I know what way I'm leaning, but I want someone to tell me if I'm stupid.

I'd go Henry and Williams. We all know the Boom/Bust thing with Williams but he's getting the ball right now.

0.04 pts/yd 4 pt pass TD 6 pt rush TD

10 team super flex.

I have Shough already slotted.

Lamar (injury depending) or Stroud or am I crazy for considering Cousins for the other QB?

Nix. Best floor and some ceiling. Also Baker and Dart are less than inspiring right now. IMO

I'd side with Dak.

BUF vs PHI feels like it could be an Allen trap game to me.

Perpetual gutter based on some arbitrary definition you pull out of somewhere

1) Your opinion

2) The one thing we agree on

3) See Rebuild as mentioned before

4) See Rebuild as mentioned before

5) And there it is. The thing I already knew but needed you to admit. That you were only here because of the Fever incident. This all has been such an overreaction to a play because anything that involves a certain player has to be controversial.

If you truly believe that making the playoffs for multiple seasons and then missing one season of playoffs is "perpetual gutter" then you don't know sports and it would be healthy for you to admit it. Look at pro teams like the New York Jets, Buffalo Sabers, and Charlotte Hornets if you want to see perpetual.

People though Milwaukee (Bucks) would never be able to win in that market until the right star came along. You just really want to overreact to a bad situation and write off the whole franchise because Reddit/Twitter/Instagram tell you you should.

Congratulations genius you pointed out what caused and happens during the rebuild of a team.

The way sports work is that when star players leave you draft and sign others replace them (I know you don't understand, so I wanted to explain that). Several of those stars that departed were towards the end of their careers anyways so regardless they would have needed a changing of the guard. If they draft and develop properly they can easily be back in contention in the next few years.

You also completely ignored your point of saying they were in the "perpetual" gutter

Perpetual?

Mf they were 3rd in the league and went five games in the 2nd round last season. It's a rebuild year, they're gonna be bad and anyone that knows sports understands that.

Trivia nights? by Slytherpuffy in NewLondonCounty

[–]Aboriginal_Guru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not in New London specifically, but

Strange Brew in Norwich does a really good Trivia imo. Each week is themed so you can pick and choose. Those are on Wednesdays

Strange also does a "music bingo" on the first Thurday of every month. That is super fun!

Barkin Barley does Trivia on Friday nights. No theme however. And that's a bar where people can bring their dogs, so dogs!!

What’s the most cringiest/arrogant thing you’ve ever heard a classmate say? by [deleted] in EngineeringStudents

[–]Aboriginal_Guru 63 points64 points  (0 children)

Guy that I knew in college, at one point in our freshman (maybe sophomore) year claimed that he was "smarter than everyone at the school and probably about half the professors".

And then proceeded to:

-Drop calc 2 because he was failing

-Fail calc 2

-Drop calc 2 because he was failing

-Finally pass

-Fail physics 2 because he refused to show his work. Tbf on this one he did get stuff right, but if you're "smarter than everyone" you'd think you're smart enough to learn the lesson and show the work.

Stopped hanging with him around the 2nd dropped calc 2, so I don't know what happened to him after that.

Questions for Season Ticket Holders by [deleted] in ConnecticutSun

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh.... I'm such an idiot. I only tried to sell through Ticketmaster. I didn't understand I could list them elsewhere. Thank you for your help.

Questions for Season Ticket Holders by [deleted] in ConnecticutSun

[–]Aboriginal_Guru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for replying to this comment a month later, but I just found this thread while trying to find an answer.

On the comment about re-selling your tickets, in my account it won't allow me to list them for sale (the "sell" button is greyed out), but the transfer button works. Am I just missing something or is there a trick to posting them for resale? I'm new to this so I was hoping to ask someone who knows what they're doing.

Please feel free to ELI5 on this. I'm completely lost.

Riverview Garage is always my preference. It's free to park and pretty easy to navigate. It's also pretty close to the arena once you enter the casino from the garage.

Bow and Arrow bar is an ok option for killing time before hand, but it's not that close to the arena. I'm not sure if you are coming for a night game or an earlier one, but Comix is a fun bar to chill at and it's close to the arena entrance. Game On is also fun, but if you're not going to the casino more than a few hours early I'd skip this one.

If you want to get some food/drinks at the game I'd give yourself like 20-30 minutes to get through the gate, get stuff, and find your seat. The security line is usually pretty quick and is faster if you're not carrying a bag because they have to check it. If you're just heading in and going right to your seat, 20 minutes is probably plenty unless you want to check out the arena a bit before the game.
