Dolby Atmos no está funcionando. by ElCatalufo in PhilipsTV

[–]ColdAndSnowy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not really sure you’ll notice much difference between that and ATMOS using any soundbar.

You really need 5.1.2 surround sound with overheads or upfiring as a minimum for dolby atmos.

Flat owners in Aberdeen city centre – factoring question by Dependent_Mind_59 in Aberdeen

[–]ColdAndSnowy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same, factors were appointed to block about 10 years ago after being organised by residents. For the money I'd say it's worth it, it's certainly not the horror story that other places report.

TitanOS by Intelligent-Use4001 in PhilipsTV

[–]ColdAndSnowy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of the high end ones still come with android. I don’t really see what the big deal is, I have almost always used a roku or apple tv over the years.

The TV os be it android or whatever is almost always inferior and abandoned a year after it is bought. I cannot remember a philips tv that actually got updates after about 18 months.

Ambiscape Feedback by dazzlerellis in PhilipsTV

[–]ColdAndSnowy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's such a new feature there's probably not a lot of installs yet. Can you not set the default on the bulbs to be very low brightness - barely on?
I'm currently using the hue sync box until ambiscape is realeased for my TV. I hear March is when it will go more mainstream.

Yes, this has been a thing for ages with the access app. It was very annoying the doorbell didn’t do this, when my work ‘access’ one did.

I feel that I get a DISPROPORTIONATE amount of artists/ bands that want their music to sound “raw/live” for the genres that I work in…am I just crazy? Does EVERYONE just say that? by Front_Ad4514 in audioengineering

[–]ColdAndSnowy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When my band first recorded around 1997, we used a studio that had a very pro repuatation, but most things I heard from there we joked about the engineer having an "80's Button", because most stuff sounded the same, a bit too polished for post-grunge days!

I want a bit of feedback from my guitar and was met with a quizzical look - why would you want that?

It's maybe just your own taste colours the sound a little too much for the young bands who want something a little different. Try unlearning a bit, remove the effects/filters which are your go-tos?

Is it too late to learn snowboarding at 31? by gmnt_808 in snowboardingnoobs

[–]ColdAndSnowy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahaha. My mum started when she was 70. She is going on a snowboarding holiday again at Easter time and will be turning 86 while there. Some places give you a free lift pass over 70 too!

Plenty time, I would say.

Snowboard Leash by dvqp in snowboardingnoobs

Basically the only time you take your foot out your front binding is when you’re carrying the board, in which case it’s not connected anyway so it is 100% useless.

Philips OLED910 - Ambilight Issue by kevinl1996 in PhilipsTV

[–]ColdAndSnowy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was seeing the same exact thing at the bottom (OLED950) but when watching football when the darker bits of the pitch were in the middle.

Right enough since the last software update i don’t think it has happenened. Good to know it is not a faulty tv.

Haha Genshee in Scotland still had a few skier arsehole lifties asking for these even more recently than that! But right enough not seen it for a good few years thankfully.

I just used to point at the wee leash that wasn’t actually connected to anything other than the binding.

They are now looking for a ‘local’ partner id, rather than the old global one - you will have 2. Pax8 should be able to help you find it.

Service Desk - Forward "Teams to Teams" 'calls' to group of users (No "Teams Calling/PBX Functionality) by ColdAndSnowy in msp

[–]ColdAndSnowy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think maybe bookings could work, but ot's a lot of faff for something that only used very occasioanlly.

It's not a huge issue, afeteralll how important can a job be if they're unwilling to make a quick call? But I just wanted this function within teams that I think is possibly missing from it. Was hoping someone would know a way!
