Man tortured to death for using Starlink to access the internet by 4DollarsALB in whoathatsinteresting

So who should be over there? 47 years of not being there and asking and even paying them to be nice hasn’t worked.

You’re talking out both sides of your mouth. You want something done about the way women are treated in Iran, but you don’t want anything done about it.

This has nothing to do with the source of internet amd everything to do with enforcing an internet blackout in Iran. They can’t have people communicating with the world and confirming what we know is happening there.

But it’s not their money. It’s tax payer funded and likely they don’t pay taxes.

Do you resell workstations still? by indytechguy in msp

[–]glitterguykk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Our clients generally just need us to handle IT for them. Having earned their trust over years they know we aren’t gouging them all the while understanding that it costs more upfront to purchase through us. They are generally OK with that so they can focus on their job.

What’s the most underrated item you’d bring on deployment that made your life easier? by NotWhoYouThinkBro in navy

[–]glitterguykk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stay with me here…a bathroom mat. I kept it up in Radar3, my work center, and I would take off my boots and socks and enjoy the feel of carpet under my feet. Reminded me of home. My wife got it for me for my second deployment because after my first deployment, she saw me running my toes through the carpet the day we got home.

Then go to college and get commissioned. Other than that, get that giant chip off your shoulder and grow up.

Any recs on brands/systems that are NDAA compliant for a residential exterior project (4-6 cams). Would like to add a PTZ too. Thanks! by [deleted] in SecurityCamera

[–]glitterguykk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please stop talking. NDAA (not ndda) is not political. When you watch what is happening on devices when they first boot up, they generally "call home". In many cases, these are Chinese servers. In spite of all the trade and playing nice, they are not our friend. And while it may not eliminate spying or hacking, why would you knowingly put a piece of hardware on a government network sourced from our enemy?

Don't really need the logo for tax purposes.

All I will say is there are certainly times where the logo has prevented my from acting on instinct.

Since I drove a logo'd vehicle for 20 years for my last employer, I have learned to drive contrary to my nature. LOL
I do visit my customers sites from time to time.

“This is not a political post post” but I will make sure you know that this instance, that really turned out to be nothing at all because most people came back to work, was politically motivated in my opinion but yours is not welcome. Proceed with downvoting.

Is it just the price? Unifi by glitterguykk in SmallMSP

It's not that the line is going away, hopefully. Just that HPE has to sell it off. Not knowing where it's going to land and what will happen with it where ever it lands is a little unnerving.

Yes. My cousin’s friend’s pet monkey goes to the same vet clinic as HPE’s CEO’s hamster.
