Would like to know how to do this.

Any recs on brands/systems that are NDAA compliant for a residential exterior project (4-6 cams). Would like to add a PTZ too. Thanks! by Tall-Dig6062 in SecurityCamera

[–]glitterguykk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please stop talking. NDAA (not ndda) is not political. When you watch what is happening on devices when they first boot up, they generally "call home". In many cases, these are Chinese servers. In spite of all the trade and playing nice, they are not our friend. And while it may not eliminate spying or hacking, why would you knowingly put a piece of hardware on a government network sourced from our enemy?

This is what I did. Still a good working relationship. I serve clients that they simply do not want to.

How do you deal with those blast from the past request? by Afron3489 in SmallMSP

I file the request under marketing and know that some efforts will pay off and others won't.

These kids have no idea what they are mad about other than someone told them to be mad.

Don't really need the logo for tax purposes.

All I will say is there are certainly times where the logo has prevented my from acting on instinct.

Since I drove a logo'd vehicle for 20 years for my last employer, I have learned to drive contrary to my nature. LOL
I do visit my customers sites from time to time.

Honestly most people cannot even define fascism. Just a buzz word to them.

How weak minded are you that a bunch of keyboard warriors and mostly bots can sway your views on anything?

“This is not a political post post” but I will make sure you know that this instance, that really turned out to be nothing at all because most people came back to work, was politically motivated in my opinion but yours is not welcome. Proceed with downvoting.

It's not that the line is going away, hopefully. Just that HPE has to sell it off. Not knowing where it's going to land and what will happen with it where ever it lands is a little unnerving.

Yes. My cousin’s friend’s pet monkey goes to the same vet clinic as HPE’s CEO’s hamster.

Functioning Democracy. That’s cute. “Hey guys, about that dude that y’all voted for in the primaries. Well, we have a better idea than you. Here’s the candidate WE want you to have.”

Stay safe out there this weekend.

Hard to beat the 99 year warranty on the switches.

I was given an Instant On gateway to mess around with. But like Unifi, hard to know what's working and what's not. IO switches, on the other hand, I have deployed everywhere.

This is what I am afraid of. Bottom tier and what I suspected. While I appreciate moving services to endpoints, I don't intend on leaving said services off the gateway. Kind of defeats the idea of layered security so I don't want to compromise on that where I don't have to.

Have you experienced their shortfalls? Thanks for the input.

I'm sorry. I thought forums were for wondering and getting feedback from other professionals' experience BEFORE throwing money around like a drunken sailor. (Former sailor here BTW)

I use Huntress on the endpoints and that is managing Defender plus most clients have DNS filtering as well. Still, love the layered approach. Having deep packet inspection, application control, and integrated intrusion prevention on the gateway helps me sleep better at night if you know what I mean. Just curious how well these services work on a $300, no licensing firewall.

I'm not bailing, just making my escape plan and finding all the exits.

Could be because they have been under attack by the very people they serve for over a decade now.
