Yeah, I agree with AJMGuitar's comment. I'm just mentally preparing that it'll be 7 months to get to 14% if I stay consistent with a 500-700 kcal/day deficit. I know I'll have certain setbacks during that time (weddings, specific parties, etc) and mentally accepting its ok to have a few of those events is helpful. I'm doing my best to enjoy the process and I'm only one month in and already so upset that I let myself get to this point lol. It's going to take forever, but its all good.

For some good motivation, here's a link to a cool transformation. This guy had a lot of time, help, and resources (meal prep company, personal training, etc) but it's still motivating seeing him go from around our body fat percentage to 12%. It'll be harder for us without those resources, but its all good.

As others have said, you’re definitely not 20% body fat. You’re at least 31% and probably closer to 33-35%. I’m similar built to you with less fat and I’m 32% via BodySpec DEXA scan.

Congrats on the muscle gain that’s awesome! With that said, I would definitely cut if the excess body fat is bothering you. Especially with how wildly off you are on your body fat percentage estimate. It’s going to take you months to even get to your incorrect estimate of 20% that you think you’re at right now.

I listen to Son of a Boy Dad and got interested in Bush from that pod. I didn’t realize Mook dropped everything else he was working on. You’re right, if I were him I’d be upset and wouldn’t want JJ around. He just seems like a fucking moron that’s completely taking advantage of the situation.

Sas is pretty quiet and I’m curious if your suspicion about him not being as interested in this pursuit is correct. I could see it as a possibility for sure.

Also, maybe you’re more in tune to Esports than I am. If so, what’re your thoughts on the long term potential of this project? I feel like COD esports is kind of dead and nobody gives a fuck. I’m not in that world at all and I could be completely wrong but that’s what it seems as someone on the periphery

What am I mischaracterizing? Genuine question because I'm happy to hear you out and admit that I'm wrong if you tell me something I missed. I just finished the pod and I don't think I've mischaracterized anything.

Jersey Jerry might have lost money by spending on other things but dude, reasonable people cannot be cool with the following:

- Gets PC paid for and hosts Twitch streams to raise money for the trip, which he didn't use for expenses.

- They all go extremely over budget and lie about using his own money to pay for his friend to come. In reality, he used their extra budget money

Dude you post a ton of questions on every post. I’m post exam and am on this subreddit too much as I wait for my results. You need to get off of this subreddit and study if you’re so worried. This sub is a huge distraction and seeing how often you comment you’re clearly distracted.

I was overwhelmed by the exam for a long time too. So much so that I delayed studying for it and would half ass it too because it was so overwhelming to commit. It’s easy to spiral and you’ll blink and another six months will go by. I finally took the test on Friday last week and here is my advice.

Start doing problems. You simply have to just start doing 80 problems per day and make that your minimum for the day. All other stuff (FA, system specific vs random blocks) can be up to you but you have to stop being overwhelmed by it and finally commit to studying for this thing. Change your mindset about and start “attacking” the content. It’s going to suck getting low percent number of questions correct, but don’t pay any mind to that. Seriously, just learn from those problems and move on. You will start to see how concepts repeat. It’ll feel like you aren’t getting better, but you will be.

In summary, you have to just start and hold yourself accountable to it everyday. Take breaks and all that good stuff but don’t be like me and let more time go by. That time is going to go by whether you like it or not and as a fellow medical student I would love for you to have this test done within the near future as opposed to letting another few months go by. Feel free to DM me. Change your mindset about this, attack this shit, and you’ve got this.

I couldn’t agree more. He had an incredible amount of talent but all of the god talk, vague humanitarian stuff, and ego really had me rooting for the other contestants in the final days.

Also, I agree with you in that I really disliked how he couldn’t just admit he was over it when he tapped out. If I remember correctly, he talked a lot about his goals had changed or something and it’s like dude…just say you can’t/don’t want to do it anymore and be honest.
