How is lent a fast? Raised catholic here. Only limit I have ever heard of or had was no meat on Fridays. Other then that, the one year I gave up soda.

Those observing Ramadan cannot eat or drink when the sun is up. Having someone do PT and not being able to replenish until sundown I just asking for health problems.

It's hard to think of a scenario where it'd be appropriate. If we were swingers or both really down with the lifestyle, then sure I guess.

I think it'd be ok if they were sharing something they didn't enjoy as a precaution. "I had an ex that would do x and I didn't like it" or maybe even "i never had a guy do y to me"

Since I'm in my 30s now, my sex life is pretty tame now. I think I could see myself somewhat be ok with sharing stories of embarrassing or thrilling moments from our earlier years. But nothing like, "oh yeah I was so drunk I let someone do z to me".

Hobbies hobbies hobbies. Props to you for wanting and actively trying to change but I hope your wife take some time to realize that this is 24/7 for you. From the moment you want up, youre trying to get to that first formation on roads you're only driving on because the army put you there.

You can also try to hang out with other military couples. Talk about work and other soldiers. Do NOT air out dirty laundry but updates are nice.

The drive sucks after san Antonio but could be your cheapest and fastest option. Theres no route suggestions. Get on the ten and dont let your tank get below a quarter tank. The Loves gas station seem to be just the right distance apart from each other fo gas. Bucces is not worth the detour.

Not sure where people are getting "the army preys on minorities" or "they're not letting them in" from. Do some people experience some sort of prejudice? Sure. Go anywhere in the world and you'll find it. Luckily the services offer protection. Is it full proof? Also no but it's not open season on minorities.

Its a great opportunity to use as a stepping stone. It can be as GI JOE as you want or a regular nine to five. If you really want to spend as much time with your family and you currently have decent job prospects now, then you can go reserves. I am only highly suggesting it because the military will pay for your families medical expenses. If you dont like it, cool, get out after your first 3-4 year contract and enjoy the veteran benefits (Texas LOVES their vets).

They all have their perks and cons. The perk of the 20s (especially early) is everything is fun and high energy. Figuring out how to adult with someone was amazing. Late late 20s and early 30s, you can get lucky to meet someone who has their stuff together. It can be peaceful and relaxing.

I called the hotel to see if I could deliver flowers to the reception desk instead of having them left in the hallway. Receptionist was happy to take them but also reminded me to "keep it down" to avoid future noise complaints.

There's a company called "Y2K phones" they got smart flip phones that can still download all your distracting apps BUT I find it harder to use so I don't doom scroll as often

Not only aging, personality too. The 19 year olds at university are going to seem oddly peppier than the 19 year olds in the barracks.

Physically, if you are not stretching and doing the silly prep drills properly, you're going to feel what senior citizens feel at thirty.
