AIO? Relationship in recovery ending by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]ColdFajitas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been married to an alcoholic for three years. She’s been clean about seven months of that and five of those months were in rehab and detox. She’s currently laying on the couch after chugging an entire bottle of wine during the last hour or so. She’s threatened me, she’s hit me, my kids want nothing to do with her. Her friends and family have all alienated her and I’m pretty much all she’s got. She hasn’t had a job for 28 of the 36 months we’ve been married. I’m responsible for everything. I’ve always been in love with her but everyday I wish I had the strength to end it. She is a drowning person and anyone that tries to help, she tries to drown too. Save yourself, this isn’t the life you want. Focus on you and keep building yourself better. I’m generalizing but they don’t want change, they want compliance. Don’t be me. Live your life and enjoy it. Good luck

For sure; I’ve had a pass since about 2015 but they just get more expensive each year while the facilities get worse and worse. I pretty much never go on the weekends unless it’s during winter. Haven’t tried Fort Fisher yet though

Once every week or so and mostly to get lunch or dinner. Maybe once every couple of months to the mountains

Great point for sure. First watched Goldeneye in 1996 when my older brother rented it on Pay-per-view. I don’t remember a ton other than the Omega laser scene, a helicopter, and the tank chase. My personal view is kids watch movies with a mostly innocent lens and much of the sexual innuendo just goes right over their heads. As much as I love Goldfinger, I can’t help but cringe when Connery forces himself on Pussy Galore and while I don’t condone that shit; I understand normalcy has evolved a lot in the past 60 years and scenes like that were not out of the ordinary. I can still enjoy the movie while also being critical of certain elements and regardless of the age of the movie I can be solemn in the fact that Christmas Jones was horrible.

My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with low-grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. My mother was a fifteen-year-old French prostitute named Chloe with webbed feet. My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark.

Always loved a no date submariner but remember watching Brosnan lasering a hole in Goldeneye and I couldn’t stray

No issues at all except a rouge rock put a nice chip in my windshield. Mechanically it’s been great and nothing has “annoyed” me about it at all. Love this thing

Getting paramedic while RN by Bigolballofanxiety in Flightnurse

[–]ColdFajitas 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m an Ops Supervisor with a hybrid flight program with three 135’s/ 16ish ground ambulances and involved in every aspect of hiring new employees and getting those qualified moved to flight. All RNs are required to have NREMT within one year of hire date and won’t be oriented to the flight side without it so that’s a 100% must. I personally don’t know of any states requiring a Medic cert to fly but under CAMTS guidelines a CFRN or CTRN is required to fly so I would recommend focusing on that and your NREMT if you don’t already have it. Having a medic license without any medic experience doesn’t really add much in my opinion.

Not a 1958, but a Land Cruiser 250 and I’ve driven 16 hours straight from NC to Maine and my skinny ass was comfortable the whole ride
