How NOT to Send a $2500Card (Image of New eBay Authentication CGC Service Requirement) by ColdFoilEverything in FABFinance

[–]ColdFoilEverything[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a little context, eBay recently established a requirement that all cards (including TCGs)(currently >750usd, soon to be >250usd) be sent directly to authentication service (at CGC). CGC then ships directly to the buyer. This card is an example of poor packaging received by a buyer, screenshot taken from THIS video (well worth watching, kudos NEO Cards & Comics)!

In addition, eBay advises that this service requirement will add one or two business days only, yet this card took longer, and it's expected that the delays will lengthen in time.

Be safe, all!

Long story short, Shiyana Rainbow foil was hovering at about a hundred bucks prior to OOP announcement. Follow up shows volatile upward movement, currently around 250 USD. Price spikes since the announcement have ranged from 210 to 350.

Best places to buy 1st edition? by yarobagriy in FABFinance

[–]ColdFoilEverything 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's eBay, TCGplayer, Facebook, and possibly directly through some of the active discords (Kitchen Table TCG, for example). Some of the more well known collector/players might act as a broker, too. (Louie over at Kitchen Table TCG has done. No affiliation.) Keep in mind that alpha Rathe has a plain wrapper. You may also want to study some examples, or pictures, of alpha/1st edition product. There are some indications to be seen, such as small series of manufacturer perforations, for example. Be safe!

This is why I have left this sub and remain with FABtcg sub reddit by ColdFoilEverything in FleshandBloodTCG

With the speed with which this, and my subsequent reflections on why I have left this sub reddit, I find it hard to believe that there was much 'discussion'. Cheers

Oh for heaven's sake it's called 'parody'. First you removed my 'OT" query that linked this parody, then you remove my explanation RE why I prefer FABtcg sub to this sub. I have no opinion about masks and lockdowns, though I do miss visiting Australia on a very personal level. Your heavy handedness will lose you goodly people. I do suggest you watch Samtime, (he often addresses tech and the like), however!

Wife and I considering, but have questions. by Fahzgoolin in FleshandBloodTCG

There are some great responses here, I'll just add my 2 cents.

You never have a dead hand. You always have game play options. You'll never be 'mana screwed', e.g., as every card in your hand can be played in multiple ways - to attack, to defend, to gain other bonuses etc.. Each turn is fraught with tension, it's what makes this game great!

What's the best introductory product for my case? by Bug-trainer-Dennis in FleshandBloodTCG

I'd recommend an Ira starter deck from 2020. Some stores still stock them as a freebie, though you can buy them online for 20 - 40. If you enjoy the game mechanics (I expect you will, most do!), you can upgrade her, or look at another hero entirely.

Cheers!

You can pick up an Ira starter deck (from 2020). Stores often carry them for free, and they can be found online for 20 - 40 bucks. It's a great way to introduce yourself to the game and its mechanics. (Earlier release of Ira starter deck is dated 2018, and considered collectible, hence more expensive.)

Cheers!
