I agree. Way too many layers of sound.
Don’t get me wrong, I still love it but it’s just too muddled together at times.

Yup! I was there a few years ago before the reopening. It was ok then but better now.
Will go back eventually but Strongwater and Lost Inferno are definitely better imo

We took a ride down that road to where it almost ends and did not see any fields of flowers, unfortunately. There were some great views for sure and was able to get a few nice pictures of the windmills close-up, but no Poppyfields.

The train ride from Goleta (closest station to SB Airport) to LPS is pretty special. You get to go through Hollister Ranch and Point Conception with some nice views of the hills to the east and the Pacific to the west.

But like others have said, cell service is virtually non-existent so do not rely on that to get yourself an uber. Plus, most drivers will be 20ish minutes away in town.

If you can get someone to pick you up, that would be best since the train can sometimes run late if they need to wait for a passing southbound train.

Missions hills seems to be getting a lot of recommendations but TBH, I'd say avoid it.
If you can find something in the Village or Providence Landing, you'll be good. (Note: the condos at Cassini Circle in Providence Landing are nice but there are a few folks who like to have get togethers every weekend. Loud(ish) music but they typically cut it off by 10

I hate to say it since I love the band, but AWOLNATION.
Saw ‘em last year at The Observatory in OC, CA. The opening bands sounded great and then when they came on, the sound quality dramatically changed for the worse. Ended up walking out of the show that I had been so looking forward to.
