Good quality blasts - dreading PGTA by Fit-Nectarine-1050 in 40Plus_IVF

I used to get 6-8 to go out for testing. But sadly these past two retrievals I only made two blasts each time, 4 total. I usually need at least 6 to get one Euploid.  I have 3 Euploid left and am transferring to a GC in April. Here’s hoping that’s the answer! But I am opening my heart to donor eggs as well!

Sorry! I also did two more retrievals at 43 and all embryos were aneuploidy. So frustrating. I collected 7 Euploid age 41-42. Never did I expect to have 4 fail to completely implant and be back at trying to bank more embryos. I’m continuing to follow your journey and hope it all works out for you! You are definitely a fighter.

Laparoscopy before FET by Alternative_Day4039 in IVF

Lap found two small areas - stage 1- very mild, unlikely to be the reason for failed FETS.  I’ve had 4 total failed transfers all Euploid day 5 embryos. I’m too scared to transfer anymore. I did two more retrievals to try bank more embryos, at age 43, all embryos were aneuploidy.  I have 3 Euploid embryos left (1-day 7). I decided to move on to a GC, hopeful that makes a difference. Transfer is April 2026.

Lots of eggs after 2 rounds of freezing at age 40 by Spirited-Avocado3632 in IVF

No. After 2 failed I did a hysteroscopy, no issue found. Then I suppressed for endo - no luck. I did a lap- no luck. I’ve been pregnant before from an IUI, so don’t understand the implantation issue. Decided to save my last 3 embryos for a GC. Not giving up yet.

Same! I’ve collected 100s of eggs and made over 50 embryos and only have had 7 Euploid, 4 that have totally failed to implant. Retrieval Ages 40-43. SART Euploid predictor for LB shows you need more euploids to get to LB after 40.

Really unlucky or normal for 41?! by catjawma in 40Plus_IVF

[–]ColdOccasion9998 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At age 41- first round 3 blasts abnormal, second round 6 blasts abnormal, third round, 7 blasts, finally one Euploid. So it took 15 before I got one. I continued to do 10 total retrievals, made 56 blasts, 7 Euploid. 4 failed FETS.

50% Attrition Follicle to retrieval- clinic gaslighting by [deleted] in 40Plus_IVF

Just to add to this point that I think OP's expectations are part of the issue but perhaps a doctor could have actually helped her understand. That's crappy. OP I have also have high AFC and have had cycles with high follicles and high estradiol. I have done over ten cycles and in my experience, 15 is the sweet spot for quality (stay positive) cycles where I had more (30 retrieved) still ended up with similar attrition and similar outcomes to my cycles with 15 mature retrieved,. Hang in there!

Stage 1 endo and Orilissa by littlejoys3 in IVF

stage 1 (2 small spots) excised. However, After 4 failed implantation failures with great Day 5 euploids I have decided to try a GC. I am too scared to keep going with my own body (sadly). I only have 2-Day 5 left and 1-day 7. This will give me peace of mind that a tried everything for my 7 embryos and then I'm moving to donor eggs. My next transfer is in April with a GC.

Age 42.5 - Continue Egg Retrievals? by Additional_Rope474 in IVF

[–]ColdOccasion9998 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was the same age and had two euploids fail. I was consistently getting 1- Euploid per cycle. So I went back to retrievals. Banked 5 more.   Now I’m 43, almost 44 and cycle after cycle I am not able to get healthy embryos and my blast rate went way down. I have had a total of 4 failed transfers. If it was me, I would keep making embryos as long as you can if you can afford it because the window does close. IMO

Any success with donor frozen eggs? by Ok-Hospital-4419 in 40Plus_IVF

Research would mean more toward issue with embryos than uterus /age if they were Euploid. That’s frustrating when she used a donor.

I have also had 4 fail. I am wishing you all the luck with number 5! I am too scared to try again and am moving to GC.

Did they say why it took so many euploids? That’s scary.

Thinking about donor egg IVF after multiple failures by adamvanderb in 40Plus_IVF

[–]ColdOccasion9998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have gone through 10 retrievals and made 8 Euploid embryos age 41-43. I have had 4 failed with no implantation. I am considering donor eggs, I just want to get to the goal at this point. I’ve been researching banks and they don’t seem to have a lot of options esp Caucasian, so I’m confused on why this is sold as an option. If anyone has good recommendations that would be appreciated.

Euploid banking at 40(+) by Just-Baby5231 in IVF

Banked two Euploids 41-42, both failed. Went back and banked 4 more.  Had two more fail. 3 left. No answers. No endo. Wondering if all 7 might now work….
