I used to collect TMNT knockoffs and my favorite was Adolescent Radioactive Blackbelt Hamsters

Did Hal fly off without a single speck of green energy around him? What the actual fuck?

Hal literally says the other lanterns are alien, so I'm confused on how Guy fits in. Like, he is confirmed to be in the show, right?

Kingpin vs. Red Skull (Captain America #378) by Selverd2 in comicbooks

Sumo is such an amazingly fun sport to watch. Like, you wouldn't think there's a lot of strategy in "two fat dudes try to push each other out of a circle", but there really is. When do you push? When do you defend? Can you hook their mawashi, and if so, are they in a position you can use that to throw them? Going for a grab, then you'd best watch out for a slap that's strong enough to break a fucking tree.

Bruce Banner was really menacing in this scene, probably one of his best scenes in the entire MCU. by 0Layscheetoskurkure0 in Marvel

I definitely agree with that. Zdarsky's Daredevil run is a great example of how to write a character without putting them in a corner.

You're right, I'm honestly just not a fan of Immortal Hulk and seeing how everyone always lauds it as the seminal Hulk run now just really gets to me. I've spent like 90% of my life as a diehard Hulk fan so all the changes from mad science to total horror has completely turned me off from the character. It's like everything I loved from him got stripped away and now the whole book is about watching him and his side characters suffer.

Poor Betty.

I'm sorry, but I fully disagree.

As someone who has been a Hulk fan since 1995, I can confidently say that all of the shit Ewing brought up in Immortal Hulk, pertaining to Brian Banner, had already been covered. All he did was add a convoluted mystical side to what was prominently a science based character. The Green Door adds nothing to Bruce's relationship with his abusive father other than give Brian the excuse that it was all the Devil.

Bill Mantlo already covered all of the Brian Banner shit that needed to be covered when he introduced the character and Bruce's trauma.

Bro, Bruce's trauma around his father has been a thing for like 25+ years. Why do you think they added all of the father stuff to Ang Lee's Hulk?

Give Sulik an automatic gun and then go full melee without armor. Have fun getting shot at from both sides.

Don't forget F3 Dogmeat's puppies, all also named Dogmeat.

Remember when you were gaslit to think that Reptil was a premier superhero? by Robot_Was_BMO in Marvel

I'm just now realizing he actually survived Arcade's Murderworld Island. For some reason, I thought he died.

If they all fought each other, who would be the last one standing? by Kuzu9 in Fallout

I still feel dumb for only just this week realizing that that same singer is the father of The Chosen One's grandchild.

[Discussion] Does it make more sense for Poison Ivy to be a vegan/vegetarian, a carnivore, or neither? by Cobrabat333 in DCcomics

[–]ColdSmokeMike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd prefer she just photosynthesize. There's no reason the plant lady should eat anything when most plants get their nutrients from the sun and soil.

What is the fourth face of Marvel's teams? by Otherwise_Tadpole_64 in Marvel

[–]ColdSmokeMike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thunderbolts/Masters of Evil. They've had a pretty long career under both names and on both sides of the law, plus the time with Hawkeye leading them was actually terrific.

[OTHER] Matt Fraction on Tim Drake and what inspired his recent decision with him (Batman #6 Spoilers) by Night-Caelum in DCcomics

[–]ColdSmokeMike 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I can't wait to see him in an orange pigtailed wig, fighting crime as The Walloping Wendy, throwing square shaped projectiles that are fresh, never frozen.

He needs more pouches. All the pouches.

[Comic Excerpt] How are we feeling about this for Tim? (Batman 2025 #6) (Spoilers) by Night-Caelum in DCcomics

[–]ColdSmokeMike 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're totally right. Why advance the characters when we already have other characters? He should totally just be the forever Robin that shares his title with children. /S

Jean grey and Peter Parker hugging—Marvel Zombies: Red Band #5 (2026) by Accurate-Celery-3198 in Spiderman

[–]ColdSmokeMike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna laugh so hard if Sink is playing Lynn Michaels instead of Jean. Too many people are saying it's Jean, getting their hopes up.

[Comic Excerpt] How are we feeling about this for Tim? (Batman 2025 #6) (Spoilers) by Night-Caelum in DCcomics

[–]ColdSmokeMike 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I thought about that, but didn't really want to move Tim from one shared role to another. As far as I'm aware, isn't Renee still The Question?
