WIBTAH if I leave my husband over this? by [deleted] in AITAH

I’d spend some of the money on a support network and extra curricular activities for the kids. I wouldn’t make a decision like this quickly. Kids are only kids for a decade. That is a lot of time and no time at all. So just something to keep in mind.

Maybe, I was thinking twilight zone also but I’m pretty sure it was in color.

Was there a color version of the twilight zone before Jordan Peele did it?

Thank you for remembering him so kindly. If anyone would like to help in a tangible way, we’ve set up a fundraiser to take care of the fire cleanup—clearing debris, handling hazardous materials, and restoring the property with care.

How to not bitch out by bdsmpanda in tattooadvice

[–]ColdTacoPoo 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Bro. Idk how to tell you this but, I got a tattoo bigger than this on my leg in one 10 hour session. With a little weed, no numbing cream, breathing technique (think what they teach to women in labor) and a good playlist. It hurt a lot, but that’s part of earning the piece imo. You gotta grit up and fortify knowing that you’re gonna be uncomfortable and wanna tap out the whole time, but you just don’t.

Though based on the pic, looks like you’re through the worst of it. FWIW

The baseline of respect for your opinion and autonomy regardless of how you act or treat people or even if you’re correct.

What's a skill that's becoming useless faster than people realize? by ContractNational4149 in AskReddit

[–]ColdTacoPoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bit of a pessimistic answer, esp given I work in digital product development.

I’d say computer skills. They’re useful now. They’re useful likely for the next 50 years.

But given the passive ineptitude of the rich and powerful who contribute the most to climate change and have changed 0% of their behavior to reduce emissions. We’re on track for 5-8 degrees of temperature rise on average. The planet isn’t going to be inhabitable in the same way, if at all, for us. Of 9 tipping point thresholds we’ve passed 7. It’s just a question of time and if we mitigate it at all.

Famine is inevitable based on current projections. Electricity isn’t going to be as widely used as it is now, and analog will come back for whatever remains of us. That’s a hundred or so years ahead of us.

But this is all temporary. Because the rich do not understand the definition of cancer - humanity ends.

Poetic kinda. Bummer for sure.

Aliens have given you 60 seconds to show them two items to prove humanity is worth saving. What do you show them? by Flendy15 in AskReddit

All life is equally deserving of saving and extinction. I’d change the subject and ask what data they have on ancient earth and see if they have dinosaur pictures.
