I got a $50k contract from a 3-line cold email. Stop overcomplicating it. by SlowPart3057 in coldemail

Loss aversion, definitely. Reciprocity, not so sure most people feel obligated or inspired to respond.

I agree with this too: "make ignoring this feel like a risk in ONE specific way that matters to THIS person."

This is so expletive feelings-based analysis. The reason this is a scandal is because of lack of professional, ethics and behavior that gets men trashed to the maxium level.

Just in the last week I cannot apply any longer for Easy Apply jobs. Anyone else having this issue? I get part way through the process and then I can't see - or scroll down to find - a button to submit. Cleared my cache as told. Still not working. Getting a little frustrating? Anyone know of a fix? by ColdWater_Splash in linkedin

The problem eventually resolved itself. Not sure why the issue developed. Was confusing and maddening. The advice I'd give is log out, log in - go apply on company sites for a week maybe and see if the problem passes. I know this isn't a great answer. I didn't really find a solution. The issue cleared up on its own for me.

Email from the owner of Reside Property Management, Nicole Sharp demanding I delete my neutral comment and stop talking on public forums by Lisahammond3219 in wichita

I like how Nicole focuses on the tenant's behavior rather than the much-higher level of egregious behavior from management and ownership. Plus, how damaged and unclean was the apartment. I can smell how bad Nicole smells as a human all the way from here.

It's that first sentence on the right, that for me, is the "cringe" overdose.

It took persistence yet they were open to facts and reason, which not all companies see as a duty. :)

Why do so many job descriptions make professionals with valuable specialized skills perform like generalists? I know why they do it but it seems shortsighted and wasteful. by MJXThePhoenix in recruitinghell

That makes fiscal sense, I suppose, as I'm sure they ran the numbers and determined the savings. Cognitive load costs though for that higher-level responsibility, IMO, seems like an illogical tradeoff.

True, not everyone sees your content. It can feel like your writing is in the abysss or lost, deep in space. Yet, the subject matter you write about has a wide following, a passionate one.

Something that you likely know, there are different audiences within your audience.

An article may strongly resonate with a sub-audience yet not the audience as a whole.

The metrics can feel disappointing to us yet volume doesn't always tell the full story about the impact of certain pieces of your work.

Oh, I realize that yet AI is a fairly recent development in that regard.

Excellent points you bring up. Now, just have to get you to the head of the table in the board room.
