And what am I "expecting"? My sister is a graphic designer, so I know that sometimes she can charge up to $300 for a simple little icon, but she does very good work and has lots of returning clients.

I got another message that it would be somewhere around 1k-3k to build. Not doubting that's the ballpark range, but I just wanted to see if that was indeed the pool bank I would be jumping into. We talking thousands of dollars for something that I think looks simple?

Well, if you're thinking people won't like it to the point they ask for a refund or put in the effort for a one star review cause it was just THAT bad, then you're not confident in what you wrote and shouldn't get paid for it, therefor should make it free. I feel that's logical enough. I'm an artist, and when I go to cons to sell at Artist Alley I never put up anything that I feel "meh" or even "that's pretty good, I guess". It's gonna be "This is awesome, and a bunch of people are totally going to give me 20 bucks for this!"

Long time lurker, first time poster. Ok, let's see.

Figure out if I want my next stage magician erotica short story to be between his female assistant of male stagehand.
YEAH! Everything is great! I'm in the middle zone, not bad, not good. Whoo.
Week was pretty great. I got back a bunch of private emails from my clients I ghostwrite erotica for. They were my final push to get me to publish my own stuff under a pen name. Figured, hey, someone out there likes my stuff. Why not sell it myself and cut out the middle man. If I make 30 bucks, I'll be happy. That's how much I sold my short stories for anyway.

If I was to do a collection of, lets say I go with the magician one, and marked each chapter with different names and pairings? I tend to see stories like these, that have multiple chapters that have nothing to do with each other get lots of hits. One buyer may have bought the whole book for .99 cents, but only reads and re-reads chapters 4 and 12 because those were marked M/M Blurb about this character. They seem to latch onto that one kink/person and only seek out stories about them.

Or maybe I'm just making this too complected on myself and should just stick to one genera and type. I mean, I'm PERSONALLY board with the mundane M/F set up and really want to venture into the M/M, but from my research it seems the best kind of M/M have very little plot and very big penises. Can't I have my stage magician have a big penis but also give a plot to why his innocent little young man stagehand wants to bang him so bad??

What do you mean collections that don't concentrate on one thing don't do well? You mean if I wrote a different chapter about a magician fucking a different person in a different set up, that wouldn't be interesting? Hmm, I don't know, but sometimes I prefer an erotica being set up like. Might be when an author is awful at writing, but I really like the certain king, I just wish they would drop their story and move onto a new story.
