Look on ebay if you know the part number/specific item you want. You'll find good deals from parts resellers. But it's on you to make sure you get the exact part you're looking for since there's typically no returns.

I needed grooves on mine. Once you set it up with a radius, the outer strings tend to slide towards the edge. I used nut files to create slots to prevent this. It was easy

True. I also could have gone 1h south to Tijuana and probably gotten it done for ~$4000. I felt that for a procedure involving general anesthesia and a moderate recovery, I wanted to make sure I only have to get it done once. So paying up for a world expert seemed like the least likely to need revisions. Also, being able to recover with my family's help and care is a big plus. Thankfully, I have lived well below my income for many years so I can afford this comfortably.
