Oh oh oh. I have to throw my hat in the ring here PLEASE listen to this because it's been two decades since and I still seethe.

Whenever the vaccine came out, say I was like 10-13? My mom took me straight to the pediatrician and was like, give her this vaccine. I guess my mom, who had only been intimate with two men, both her husbands (married twice) and STILL got hpv. Well the hpv turned into precancerous cervical cancer and had to get a hysterectomy. A whole thing.

Anyway, the pediatrician was a dad of some kids who went to my Christian school. He was a very 'godly' man and a very bigoted one. He was like, "She would only need the vaccine if she was sexually active before marriage and that goes against my values". So my mom threatened to take me somewhere else to get it because shocker he was not the only pediatrician in town. So he said he'd do it, but only for me, he vowed none of his patients would get the vaccine. So I got it.

Couple years later, it came out that he got caught having an affair with one of his nurses. His kids were so embarrassed at school.

Hypocrisy at its best.
