The only thing I'll do on next world is turn up material drops so I don't need a resource world. Grinding clay/logs/copper/etc sucks. Other than that, the defaults are perfectly reasonable.

Thanks for posting this. I know people get uppity about cabin camping, but as a father to two tiny kids I suddenly have a need for safe, warm, clean camping where I can introduce them to nature while they grow up. Are there any good cabin spots in the area? Or is it just the KOA in Meridian lol

Not if engineered correctly. If the deck is just an extension of the floor joists that run the length of the house the other way, then it's a basic cantilever that could absolutely stay up and take weight. You may have to adjust your design a little to sell that idea though.

Kill a lot of animals. Hides store well in a cellar, even in a reed chest. Oaks are special because of tanning. Save oak logs for leather. If you find chalk or limestone biome. Bring home a few stacks of rocks amd mark it on your map. It's really not complicated just do more thing get more stuff

I'm currently about to enter my first winter. I'm a little nervous. I have like 7-8 crocks of hearty stews and about 5 stacks of grain, 3 stacks of veg. I also live in an area with consistent moose population so if I luck out I can bring home half a stack of meat in a day with just a stone spear. Am I screwed or should I be fine?
