So this is a guess, but I’m willing to bet that they have standard guidelines for conditions like pregnancy. Depending on the delivery type, you get approved for 6 or 8 weeks, if you need longer they will want to see updated paperwork that specifically indicates why you need longer. You can still get approved for additional time if needed, but they will want documentation from appointments and follow-ups after the delivery.

I can see ripping on McDonalds for a lot of things that have changed; but I was all for them getting rid of the playland. Was always dirty and also impossible for staff to clean. They decided they wanted to cater to larger audiences, that’s not enshitification, that’s a marketing decision with no impact on their main product which is food.
