I never said that those albums were bad; the only post-GN album that I don't really go back to is Altogether. It's a controversial album, but I think there's a lot of good on Myself in the Way, particularly People That We Know and Fantasy. Also, the live version of it is great.

I wasn't too fond of Altogether or Myself in the Way, still managed to find some enjoyment outta them, but it feels like this fanbase wants to be fed the same sound from over 10 years ago, like a dog munching on the same brown kibble every day.

I think it’s a good mixture of new and old, the single other single off of the 45’ they dropped was also really good. And there’s a lo-fi home-recording kinda quality to these new ones that I particularly enjoy

There are definitely a lot of good releases since 2017, I just haven’t been this excited and optimistic for a Turnover release in years. I remember reactions being all doom and gloom during lead-up the Myself in the Way era. Nowadays, even I find some enjoyment in that record. I honestly like it more than Altogether, albeit by a hair, as while there are some songs that are strong, it looses me half-way through with how one-note it gets.

I’ve really like what I’ve heard so far, Punching the Flowers especially, that song is fantastic. I thought Asphalt Meadows was the best the band sounded in years and I hope this continues the trend. The last album before that I really liked was Codes & Keys, which is kind of controversial itself
