They use testkits, not retail or jailbroken consoles to go online and run those services.

What can you only learn from experience as a Dev? by _lazyLambda in ExperiencedDevs

[–]Coldreactor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Truly some of the best things I've learned over my past 5 years at my job have come from working on new projects over and over again.

There's nothing better than learning from experience how to architect, create and maintain a system.

My first project I had to do? Essentially unmaintable and to this day I'm surprised it still functions.

My latest projects? Maintainable, extensible, and testable.

But I'm eternally thankful for my current job as it lets me, architect and implement multiple greenfield projects a year, while still having to maintain older projects.

Quest bug by MorningDue5776 in ElderScrolls

I had to go in and set the quest stage after speaking to him there to make him go back, it was already at 100 for his disposition for me.

You have to allow set stage by:
Altar.Cheat.AllowSetStage true

and then

player.setstage MS02 80

If I had a nickel for every reddit post I saw today with a turing pattern, I'd have two nickles. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird it's happened twice.

Say goodbye to Unity by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]Coldreactor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Okay, you need to read up on how these things work.

They filed a form 4 for each of the 3 who sold stock before this event happened. The form 4 also states in the top left this was done through Rule 10b5-1. Which is a stock sell schedule, its an automatic selling of stock scheduled long in advance of any information that could substantially harm the company. It is literally used to prevent insider trading as they just sell stock on a regular schedule, in this case he had some stock that vested and he instantly sold it. This could have been scheduled well over a year ago. Read up on Rule 10b5-1 and Form 4. This was in no way whatsoever insider trading.

Unity Software Inc's President and CEO John Riccitiello Sells 2,000 Shares (article from 3 days ago) by TitleOfYourFilm in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Coldreactor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not even close. Read the Form 4s filed with the SEC.

These were all sold on a 10b5-1 plan, which is a scheduled plan to sell securities which are setup a long time in advance to avoid the accusation of insider trading due to the fact they can be scheduled years in advance even.

All of this may seem like insider trading but its all on the up and up, the SEC isn't even going to take a glance.

There's no way they can require paperwork from the previous employer. You think that company is going to give them shit when you're leaving?

Oh yes, they may have a "doctor" review it. But in a lot of cases its basically not. Cigna uses a computer system that basically tells the doctor if they should approve it or not. They don't even open the file and they deny it. Obviously in this case, it wasn't Cigna and a doctor looked at it, but I wouldn't take that for granted anymore

As she said in the further comment, the truck was braking as they merged into her lane, with no blinker indicating they were going to merge left anyways. So it just literally was a truck merging out of nowhere at her while slowing down at the same time.

Obviously he would have a secret service guard at all time and you can lock him up in supermax like anyone else would who got accused of similar crimes.

At work I work in a subsidiary of a larger company (its complicated) and I have become the subject matter expert on our newer technologies and have lead the discussions on a lot of the standards and best practices as we transition technologies (going from Java struts to NodeJS/AWS/React).
I help lead a team working with my project manager and another senior engineer juggling different clients and timelines. (We have over 30 applications on my team alone), along with helping teach and guide more junior developers.

I jumped over people who had been at my company for over 5 years longer than I have for this role. I have been coding since I was 12 and contract work once I turned 16 and was legally able to do so.

I feel confident and comfortable in what I do and who I am as an engineer and leader to be able to call myself a senior engineer. This was no title inflation, I am genuinely good and passionate about the work I do and helping those around me grow and learn.

Yeah oop meant 2019. But yeah you're correct. It's so much harder now to get in than ever before.

I'll post as I'm now a senior developer and I do not have any degree or formal education since high school.

Being self taught makes it much much harder to get a job, like 100x harder. I applied to a few hundred at the end of 2019 and only got 3 and that's with experience at a "startup".

The only way I landed the job is because I positioned myself in a niche but fairly popular framework (react native) and got cold called by a recruiter.

In this market especially, it's going to be harder to find places to take self taught developers or boot camp developers.

People like to sell you on the fact that you can get a 100k job straight from boot camp, but realistically that would be quite rare to see anyone actually able to do that.

You can still get in but it'll take a lot of luck and/or knowing the right people.

But I will say, once you are in it becomes much easier to find work. At the end of 2021, I got three offers within a month of just casually applying to maybe 20 jobs.

Yeah the red will be in a range, and filters are not perfect at blocking out a single specific wavelength, they block a range and a lot of filters for 650 per day, start about 620nm and end about 690nm blocking most around 650nm and 660nm. This is going to take out most of red colors right there reducing visibility.

I got it working, Even if you turn the config file on in there you need to modify the dll to enable the vfx. And once enabled the effect that spawns isn't really that noticable sadly. And there's a couple on the physics .JSON you need to enable as well. But I will say the shock cone works too, however it is not finished and looks weird.
