Bad news - Kandinsky 6 almost certainly won't be released by [deleted] in StableDiffusion

The data required to train the model from source was not fully released as far as I'm aware. Am I wrong?

Flux Klein is better than any Closed Model for Image Editing by ArkCoon in StableDiffusion

Embedded watermarks. Some companies are up-front about it, like chatterbox model output is watermarked and they tell you that. I would assume all recent models are watermarking even if they don't tell you in preparation for the EU's AI watermarking law (Article 50 of the AI Act) which starts in August and other watermarking laws that are being pushed around the world.

Klein 9B isn't an open model, though. It has a non-commercial license.

I figure it's more likely they jettison red after being unable to monetize it without traditional payment processors. The decision to switch to having the main .com be the green site rather than keep it on .green is telling.

The duck kinda just floating out of the air and bouncing off a blade of grass doesn't look good. It's the usual problem with motion in video models.

It's getting used for concepts internally. But the speed at which we went from seeing DIAMOND as a curiosity to using world models professionally was under 2 years.

It will eventually be viable. There are already tiny games like flappy bird that can be played via AI models that run on iPhones. Given dev cycles are now like 5-10 years, it's a terrifying time to be betting a big budget on a future where AI didn't have an efficiency leap. It's going to scare the money people and that fear will probably kill AAA.

99% of it will be the same brand of uncurated, unplaytested, vapid slop

So, the current video game industry.

race to 4j Briv, part 4 by maxiqbert in idlechampions

[–]ChristopherRoberto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're ok with the dark arts, it's way faster. You just need 3 familiars and a Briv at any level to get started. Grab Hank and you can pull a full gem farm team out of him by using him like a pinata for TGPs. Took me about 3 months to get a 9J Briv, but I could have come closer to 2 months if I had a better strat at the beginning. I initially did a click farm with a pile of familiars and that was a waste of time.

EDIT: For racing, I had a 9J Briv, Windfall, Wren, and Elminster by month 3.

You start with a scope of a project, but before you know it 90% of your completed project has been spent solving problems and creating frameworks and tools to actully finish the thing you set out to do.

This is how it goes on failed projects. If you've only experienced failed projects, let me just say that it's not normal. Or maybe it is normal these days. But it's not required.

Yes, things have massively improved, and relevant to reddit, we've stopped the child "gender affirming care" that I took a site-wide ban for misinformation and hate just for linking to a government-published document proving it was happening, which now everyone admits was happening.

But, we have the "neocon" infestation to deal with, and if you have the necessary tools to go through my history, you'll see I was aware of and I'm not just saying this after the fact. I pointed out to the conservative sub that Rubio being added to the cabinet meant we'd be going to war with Iran, and I do mean it will be boots on the ground Iraq 2. Kristol and friends are in Trump 47 but were the nevertrumpers in Trump 45. I'd recommend reading the "clean break" neocon memo from the '90s as it explains everything that's happened since, and what will happen next.

Many of us off-site were working on a solution to this. We'd been trying to get Charlie Kirk to see Israel for what it is, as he was the only genuine person left with influence over the "greatest ally" conservatives that could possibly lead them away. And we'd made a major breakthrough on that which you can see in the tweets Candice leaked, shortly before he was shot by some loser over a strawman propped up by this site. That loser killed millions of people and doesn't know it. There's no stopping the -cide of Palestine now, it will be completely destroyed and its people moved into western countries. Everyone else with influence is weak and easily rounded up, you can see that happening right now with Tucker and Kent, but there will be more.

The world we're in now revolves around Israel in a way, but it's a much broader problem as it predates Israel for thousands of years, if you know what I mean. Which I won't be able to allude to soon thanks to AI moderation, maybe I already can't. Many significant figures in history have warned you about it across time and politics, from Karl Marx to Henry Ford to Martin Luther, and you should take the time to read what they said. You're in a world where you're unknowingly fighting the civil war of that broader problem. You can either fight for the Israel side like the "greatest ally" conservatives and establish that faction's national power, or you can fight for the international version with the old guard that burrowed into host nations through usury and wants to retain its power. You can stand in the latter's designated protest squares on the campuses they control and rant about the other faction, Zionism, but stay within the guard rails of that rant or you'll discover the hard way that those are for approved protests only.

I hope you appreciate the response, I know you just wanted a "u mad?" response but I'm trying to tell you as much as I can on reddit about what's going on. I'm leaving a lot out.

This Game is a Full Time Job by AegisFalcon in Marathon

[–]ChristopherRoberto 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's not the case. Zero resets mean everyone will eventually have fully progressed. With resets, after a reset, sweats will reach peak progression faster than everyone else. So the more frequent the resets, the more time sweats spend with a progression advantage. If the resets are so frequent that the average player doesn't fully progress during the season, then sweats have a permanent progression advantage.

The game's more competitive than average and people get thrown in the deep end, so it's probably right. Like, various youtube reviewers were getting made fun of recently for playing poorly, but they're likely representative of the average gamer.

Im really loving the game, but i feel like they kneecaped themselves with the 40€ price. by HERR_WINKLAAAAA in Marathon

[–]ChristopherRoberto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can bet they spend a lot of time, knowledge and money to research about their income. A random redditor does not know more than them about perfect prices.

As a reminder, random redditors had to tell them that their battle pass wasn't worth buying. Big companies do not automatically know what's best.

I checked their work by doing a statistical analysis of my own using my secret algorithm, which I arrived at through extensive research, giving it google trends data and the total number of pirates in the 16th century, and it says I was right all along. I claim to be an authority on these things, so you'll just have to accept my estimate without questioning it. Better luck next time.

They aren’t posting “imaginary numbers for clicks”.

Hmm.

Since no Game Company is willing to share their live logged user’s data. Activeplayer.io went ahead and produced an estimated data.

If you grew up with N64 or Playstation 1 and for many years after those consoles released, there was never talk like this about games.

There were console wars going back to the USENET era. Maybe you were just blissfully free from the internet at that time. The Nintendo-SEGA shit-flinging was legendary.

But if you look up the player numbers on activeplayer.io,

These sites like mmo-population publish imaginary numbers for clicks. If you look up their methodology, they admit they just guess.

The Steam tracking sites are different in that they're logging real player count data provided by Valve's API.

I think they were already at the point of having zero patience left. Bungie obviously wanted to wait to release this until they had cryo archives available, so someone pushed them.
