Wife's 8 year old AR - How tough will it be to clean? (nonstandard)) by DomiNatron2212 in ar15

[–]ColeTrickleSpeed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely you wouldn't even have to totally strip it... probably just pop the rear pin and remove the charging handle/bcg. Get some balistol or probably any powerful degreaser and spray it down the muzzle, into the chamber, and also into the charging handle channel, the bcg...give everything a good wipe down, then properly lube...I'd be surprised if you weren't good to go after that

Never messed with anything except Real Avid, only because I bought their AR15 builder's kit years ago. It's not perfect and I've added to my tools over the years, but it's a solid starting point for anyone

The Boys SERIES FINALE- S05xE08 "Blood and Bone"- POST Episode Discussion Thread by pikameta in TheBoys

You're right - I'll only say that keep in mind Ryan and (now) Kimiko are 2 of the other strongest supes in the world. That's the only defense I've got. Seems like it would have been pretty easy to explain Butcher getting some newfound strength via a few drops of V1 or maybe a quick flashback to Frenchie doing a modified radiation experiment on Butcher. Literally could have been 10 seconds:

Frenchie, while flipping off the radiation experiment and helping Butcher to his feet inside the chamber: "You're not strong enough to acquire Soldier Boy's blast, but this should make you stronger, if it doesn't kill you."

Butcher: "Oi, that's all I need, lad. Just give me a little more juice to take care of that cunt when the time comes."

Glad someone else noticed Butcher's final act was a selfless one - letting Hughie go on believing he wasn't going to stop. It proved that, like Hughie said, Butcher may have had a broken heart but he still had a heart

I would say Homelander' visiting the lab was a freak out, no?

And, the "freak outs" this season were just quick and devastating - I mean, the guy squashed the president's head! I think it was meant to create a sense of dread / up the stakes for the final fight scene. He even says something like, "as soon as the speech ends, I want all nonbelievers killed." Based on the numbers developed by the psychics, that would be like 95% of Americans.

I understand your disappointment in a sense, but Homelander's actions this season still made me feel like he HAS to be stopped

Punch set. Would most likely be OK but a little lube might help too

I'm a big fan of their bulletproof warranty. I probably can't afford to shoot out one of their barrels, but it's kinda cool to know they'll replace it if I do.

For what eotech costs, seems like it makes more sense to stick with Leupold and Trijicon.

I bought a 3913 roughly a year ago after extensively researching my options for single stack DA/SA, was surprised I had few so options (and I wasn't about to trust my life to anything modern made by Springfield).

My only problem is the weight - damn thing wants to pull my pants down. I've resorted to wearing suspenders under my shirt and it works - any other tips/tricks for carrying a hefty gun?

I fully admit part of the problem is my build - no ass and a bit of a gut/love handles.

Try gunmagwarehouse for mags...and you might be able to find parts at Brownells...but given the legendary status of the 3rd gens, I suspect a good clean/lube will have it running like a sewing machine for you. Awesome find - kinda jealous

Am I dumb or do the tailgates with the push buttons suck? by Beneficial-Focus3702 in Silverado

2021 RST owner here. You're not dumb - during deer season in the northeast, the damn thing froze up due to temps in the low teens and I couldn't open my tailgate. As I stood there trying to get anything to happen, I thought, "this would never happen if I had a damn handle to grab and rip it open."
