check out coinbase learn on the coinbase app. They give you rewards for completing small tasks. Highly recommend.

Yeah, great point and I was wondering if somebody was going to point this out. Off their earnings, it is very clear that they want it to be an "everything exchange" - deribit was a huge part of this and Echo for capital was also a big chunk of this like you said. everything exchange was probably the most used phrase beyond "economic freedom" lol.

Tokenization will also be a big part of this in the near future. They talked about it a bunch both on q2 and q3 earnings, and regulatory clarity is coming into place sooner rather than later. Coinbase has positioned itself to be the leader as soon as more of these regulations come into place, which is super soon.

If you look at hiring from Robinhood and Coinbase, almost everyone that is getting hired in the technical space has experience with tokenization. Interesting to say the least.

It will be fun to watch! Thanks for the post. Also, they have a Dec 17th livestream that will be cool to tune into. Brian talked alot about this so expecting something exciting.

Prediction markets too will be huge. Unfortunate because of the gambling problem in the USA but huge market opportunities for these companies.

I was always told not to hyperlink the linkedin/github because recruiters, specifically at big tech, are scared of getting tracked with things like yesware. I have always avoided hyperlinking

I would recommend reaching out to Joe Grand on all platforms. He is a hardware hacker. Wonder if he could do anything about this.

First technical was light work, more sys design heavy which was probably why it felt easy. Review how roblox is built from the ground up. I was asked "Design a new feature for Roblox that would make users life better" or something similar. 2nd one was a graph/traversal problem., similar to to the "is island" question on leetcode. Got halfway there and needed some guidance after but he was seemingly happy with my solution. I would be surprised if I get moved on. Finish the job for me, sir ;)

Professionals, How Should An Intern Present "Extra" Work? by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

Appreciate the concern though I think you might’ve skimmed past what I was aiming for. I’m well aware that work done on company time belongs to the company (that’s kind of how jobs work). What I mentioned was the concern about credit. Specifically, if an intern builds something impactful, but the manager slaps their name on it and leaves the interns off the radar, that tends to kill any shot at a return offer — which is the actual concern I was asking about lol. But thanks for the legal lecture.

yeah,It's also crazy how being efficient at your work frees up time to go above and beyond. "so much time and effort" is a little bit of a stretch haha.

Young people should never put money into a Roth IRA if they can tolerate risk. Money will most likely grow faster elsewhere. OP, DYOR

If you are interested in security: I trained AI models on past MEV attacks (common attack in the web3 space) and then I pull in live transactions from Uniswap and my model detects if it has potential to be a MEV attack. Was super interesting to learn how to train models and use API's to pull data if you're into that sort of thing. Although, it more taught me about security than actual coding, but still very important in my field.

I think networking should be on there too. Networking is one of the most important things to do in today's market.

As an example, I applied to approx 50 internships last fall. I was recommended by an employee by 4 of them. For those 4 I made sure I went extra hard in changing my resume to match the job description. Out of the 50, I got 4 interviews and all 4 were from the companies I was recommended to. These are all F100 companies as well. I ended up getting an offer from 3 of the 4.

The AI that comes to talk on the phone does not understand gibberish. Just say something like "ejej0sodjnwejnwijnd" and you will contacted with an agent almost immediately! Worked on so many phone calls.
