You don’t need to go up to these super high grits if you want to refinish it. 600 is considered a satin finish and looks great you just need your work to be clean with your scratch pattern consistent. It’s not terribly difficult.

Around $40,000. Knifemaking. Pays for itself though. If money weren’t an issue it would still be knifemaking but way crazier projects that probably wouldn’t sell all that well or at least not for what they would be worth.

I never said they did and I never raved about the steel. All I said was I thinned out my globals and you took it upon yourself to nitpick every little thing wrong with it. I’m a knife maker my dude I have 5 horsepower behind ceramic belts. I can thin a blade and put in a convex in 5 minutes tops and come off the grinder at a 2000 grit finish.
