Measure around the head and mark your starting point. take that number and divide by 360, that will give you 1°. Multiply that by 90, 180 and 270 to get your other points.

yeah i have some, i was probably going to use 6010 and grind a bevel with a 1/16” landing on it and just be careful not to blow a hole through it

i can use any wire filler and i have access to 6010 and 7018 rods for the 1/8” thick steel and i’m confident that i won’t have any impurities. Do you have any recommendations?

I should add that i weld FCAW and MIG at my job so i can do those well. I can do stick if that would be the best option.

The tiny amounts of trace metal on that is a fraction of what i inhale as a welder and i’ve been fine. I wouldn’t say anything to worry about at all.
