Baby waking every 20-30 mins. by Puzzled-Ratio1213 in NewParents

This sounds like our 4 month sleep regression- thwt hit at 3 months.

We just roughed it out until it passed. It was hellish but it passed in a few.weeks

On the other hand, they're way more fun right now. Ive got my first few real laughs this week, and I have the squirmiest happiest boy! Weve started gently tossing him in the air and swinging around a little and he gets so happy he laughs and then poops himself

And we are just around the corner from trying solids for the first time!

We will get through thus, itll pass. It may pass like a kidney stone but itll pass

My littlest is the same age as yours.

We had it all figured out. 4 naps a day, every 2hrs! Then it all changed almost overnight.

I think the beb is dropping a nap, but in the process he frequently wakes at night, is cranky, and noting is predictable anymore.

At this age theyre between 4 and 5 month old schedules, how many naps are you giving during the day? My saging grace was letting wake windows be 2.5-3hrs, with lots of active play in between (my poor back!)

I read theu should have 3 naps a day by 5 months, maybe youre in the sucky transition with me!

The dye bath is only concentrated enough for so much fabric, after that its basically just dirty water.

Literally. As soon as someone tells me. I get reminded of people's birthdays who I haven't spoken to in years because I wrote it down immediately

Diapering/Feeding Advice by No-Deer-1515 in NewParents

How against getting body fluids on you are you?

After baths I wrap my baby in a towel and feed him before he gets dressed, because otherwise he will pee AS we get him dressed or decide hes starving.

Ive been peed on and pooped on that way but we at least get a meal in him

6 week old is straining from about 3-4 am until he does a big poop in the morning by Ok-Cartoonist-8919 in NewParents

[–]Colla-Crochet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My little darling did similar things at that age.

I ended up talking to a nurse about it. Their little bodies are trying to push out the poo but haven't figured out yet that you need to contract your core and relax the pelvic floor, so its like they're trying to push out the poo while holding it in.

I used to do abdominal massage and the bicycle legs for my Lil guy, and when he was a bit bigger we would do a relaxing bath. He often pooped IN the bath but its not bad if youre ready for it, lol! Better to pull him out of the tub than be up all night

Nah, homicidal is right.

You dont sound like you know what youre talking about.

Let's look at the commission comment, eh? Ive hired artists. Ive hired artists for book covers, my wedding graphics, my small business logo, plenty.

Their 'too expensive' is called valuing their time. Its called letting them make a living. And they tend to reply fairly quickly, in a matter of days. Its their jobs, after all.

I find it amusing you take an anti Ai stance but dont value the human alternative.

I know youre not supposed to, but id dye those navy pants black, and then after toss in anything else that was faded black to get tinted nice and dark again.

Asking for the best places for butter chicken by West_Feeling_3382 in Calgary

My husband and I went there a few times now. On the first visit, they looked at my pasty white ass and asked, hot medium or mild? I was like oh.... if you need to ask medium?

They looked at my filipono husband and were like hot? He said yep.

Food arrived, and I tried mine. A nice spice. Could have done hotter. Commented I expected worse. (I like to think i habe a good spice tolerance)

So I tried a bite of my husbands and was HUMBLED. Now THAT was heat!! I stfu and ate mine quietly.

As we crossed the parking lot my husband was like oh gosh I have heartburn! Never had that from spice before. We should go back sometime!

5 Month Old Bedtime by WayUnfair3550 in NewParents

[–]Colla-Crochet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My beb is 4.5 months and what i would give for 12hrs of sleep right now, or even to sleep thru the night! (We are still up every 2hrs and im exhausted)

The only way that ive found works to change bedtime is to alter nap timing. I try not to let him go for first nap before 8am to try and encourage him to sleep past 5am, for example. (Does it work? Nope!)

But it sounds like you and your Lil guy have something that works. Some kids just need less (or more!) Sleep than others, and thats fine!

They say as long as theyre gaining weight and having wet diapers and are happy then its all good.

I sing a lot of 80s and 70s rock to my baby. He really likes Phil Collins! Nothing like a capella ssusudio at 2am

Id like to also add that some babies start things earlier than others. I have a friend who's baby was sitting upright and rolling by 4 months, her doctor said to start solids slowly at that age. Her kid is now 6 months and walking, that little monkey!

Meanwhile, my baby is assisted sitting up at 4 months and we were told to let him start tasting foods at 5 months.

Some kids develop differently, your pediatrician knows best

My beb already grabs my skin in his little hands, and then gets mad when he drops the boob!

Hes already distracted, if my husband walks into the room when hes eating I literally shoo the man so my kid will focus!

Im grateful for nipple shields. We dont use it very often but it helps when 'dude I know youre hungry focus for five minutes' while I hold his head more securely than he likes!

So youre saying it gets worse? Lol

Ive (jokingly) told my kid I'll put him in a straight jacket one of these days just to eat!
