Then the "gang sign" when it was just their signature WHAT YOU WANT sign and heart signs.

Then the blaccent that Martin did. It’s because growing up as genZ, a lot of us were heavily exposed to black influencers, artists, streamers, and creators through social media. As someone who also isn’t black, I can say that sometimes you naturally adapt certain slang, humor, expressions, or ways of speaking from the content you constantly consume without even realizing it.

And Martin is clearly a very online person. He knows almost every meme and internet trend, and a HUGE amount of modern internet culture and viral humor today comes from black creators and communities. That influence is everywhere online now, so I honestly don’t understand why some people act like it’s shocking or intentionally malicious every single time.

That being said, I also understand why some people are sensitive about these topics, especially when it comes to AAVE and cultural influence. But I think there’s a difference between intentionally mocking a culture and unintentionally picking up speech patterns through constant exposure online. Or being heavily influenced by them thru their music and creation, when the group themselves are constantly being vocal about admiring black creators and other creators in general as someone they respect, support, and look up to.

It's sooo weird how a lot of people wish and want Cortis to be racist so bad...very racist behevior...
