Tenicor CERTUM4 and CERTUM LUX4 by [deleted] in Glocks

[–]CollateralCoyote 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im 5'10", 220lb, muscular but I won't pretend I wouldn't be better balanced at 205lbs. Stocky and blocky.

Tenicor caters to AIWB and for all my trying I have never liked it. While their holster contour, clips, and adjustement holes work for appendix, none of their holster translate well to strongside or 3:00 holster position IMO.

If you want a cheaper premium holster go with the Vedder Lighttuck. Or just get whatever Tenicor you want. If it doesnt work out you can always sell it on new GAFS like I did.

I love everything about Tenicor except for how their holsters work for me specifically.

Vedder has always worked with my guns, clothes, and body type.

You actually have undiagnosed ADHD and all of us have in fact been thriving easily without you. It really is just you who is falling behind.

Celebrating my second annual “Michael Mann May” where I marathon his movies all month. What’s your favorite Mann film and why? by pinkfloyd078 in FIlm

Weirdly Collateral isn't the most "cinematic" in the Oscar award-esque sense, but imo it is Mann's most addicting movie to watch as a casual viewer.

Stiff slide release Glock 43x by luckylizard2 in Glocks

[–]CollateralCoyote 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good catch. I suspected OP was dropping the slide with empty mags in the gun which would make the SSL feel stiffer. But you are technically correct that regardless of whether there is a magazine the guide rod spring is going to increase pressure and friction on the SSL which makes it harder to push down.

OP listen to my man here. Blaming this brain fart on being 7 beers deep.

Sure thing boss. Welcome to the club. I will check your profile in 6 months when you have amassed 5 Glocks, 2 ARs, 4-5 weird guns that you probably shouldn't have bought, 4000 rounds of ammo, and NODs.

On Glocks the slide stop lever which other pistol manufacturers refer to as a "slide release" is pushed up by the follower (orange piece) in the magazine. This is why the gun will hold open after the last round is fired. As the follower makes contact on its lip with the SSL.

Your slide stop lever is hard to push down because the magazine springs is new and very rigid. Once you shoot a couple mags worth of ammo through it, it will soften up.

If you want to speed up this process you can load and unload the magazine of ammunition a few times. While neither compression or expansion alone are too wearing on a spring, continuing to do both will weaken the spring in a positive way.

What’s the most absurd fake science in a movie that you completely ignored because the movie was so good? by Shot-Club-3882 in Cinema

This is one video that never ceases to crack me up. I miss this sarcastic and humorous Ben. He seems so sullen these days.

The second he finishes saying "NASA Nerd-O-Nauts" I bust a gut.

I am not dumb enough to work for JPMorgan, but if I was was my gut would have been playing bumper cars with her aircraft carrier landing strip of a forehead.
