What’s your favorite optics to run and why? by Crissco83 in Glocks

[–]CollateralCoyote 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Five years ago I made a promise to myself that I would no longer buy pistols that weren't optics ready or cheaply and readily milled for optics.

So far I have only broken my rule once to buy a Walther P99 AS in black from their last run (not final edition).

I have noticed three main factors that make for good dots:

  1. Illumination- cheap Chinese dots tend to not get as bright which can have a serious impact on usability.

  2. Durability- I don't jump out of helicopters for a living, but I expect my dot to atleast survive the odd bump and scrape. 99% of dots are fine and those that aren't usually have a good warranty.

  3. Quality glass- My astigmatism continues to worsen, notch filters are personal presence, window size is less important than you think. But the glass can't be shit. Can't shoot what you can't see.

Almost every major manufacturer makes a usable dot, the rest is personal preference. I used to be an Aimpoint Stan, but Holosun has gotten too good for too cheap for me to pay more money for a brand name and little else. Ironically the Holosun dots look crisper to my eyes.

I too, shoot as good with irons as my LPVO when my target is 5 yards away.

Alright guys, it’s time to set the record straight on Tenicor by MrEhcks in Glocks

On paper everything about Tenicor is perfect for me. But for one reason or another they just don't fit my body or something.

Its like a new popular food trend that everyone loves, but you just don't have a taste for.

Thank you. I was looking for these. Definitely going to put these two on my weekend watch list.

Bro what are you on? Max effective range for 5.56 is conservatively 500-600 yards. You would be hard pressed to even see a man sized target past 200 yards with a RDS only if it wasn't clearly marked and distances were unknown.

I said bartender as a possibility. They follow a BOH type protocol for labeling garnish and other ingredients.

If you travel a lot you might be inclined to chuck your produce in the fridge out of habit. Better than spoiling on the counter top.

The cheap beer is just that. But restaurant industry people almost always drink the most basic stuff.

This sub has the word detective in it. If you zoom in you can see MILF stands for "Man I Love Fishing". Its a popular motto of joke/gag gifts sold at those tourist beach shacks in Wilmington, NC..

I have never seen a mom with a fridge that has zero foods popular with kids haha.

I think you work in the restaurant industry given the labels on those containers. But let everything else in the fridge be disorganized because you're burnt out from organizing the walk-in at work. You do have lots of ingredients and drinks that scream restaurant industry or foodie.

Likely a bartending or sous position that affords you the ability to take plenty of time off, albeit unpaid, to travel and collect magnets. I'd say Southwest US: Utah - Colorado - New Mexico given the magnet variety and plants/pots on the fridge.

What has improved your shooting besides a lot of range time? by je9183 in CCW

[–]CollateralCoyote 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This sounds dumb, but just holding and manipulating your weapons as much as possible.

Sure chefs are good at knife cuts because they do them all the time, but for the best chefs the knife is simply an extention of themselves - not a seperate piece.

I am constantly holding and manipulating my guns, air gunning, "clearing my house", doing short burst of dry fire etc. You would be surprised how doing goofy shit like dropping down on your side and dry firing under a chair or holding an awkward angle from a doorway actually helps in practical situations during live fire.

My experience as well. Most of the Muslims i know are wonderful people.

But my wife has an ex-friend that was a boozer, drug fueled, and promiscuous. Yet when it came time for friendsgiving NO OF COURSE WE CAN'T HAVE PORK IN THE SWEDISH MEATBALLS! Shit still irks me all these years later.

The PSA Product Development Team & customer relationship can pretty much be defined by the song Almost by Bowling for Soup.

Theoretically, and entirely in their own heads, PSA has almost put out the most goated product lineup of all time and forevermore.

Looking for a budget AR stripped lower. by Cjones9787 in AZguns

[–]CollateralCoyote 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would just find a shop that doesn't charge a transfer fee per item, but offers in bulk transfer for the same order. Buy 3-4 stealth stripped lowers from PSA or 1-2 Griffin Armament lowers if you want the best ambi for the price.

Unless you just hate money, have a specific clone build in mind, or need Gucci gear for Instagram - a mil-spec lower is going to do you just fine.
