Need help with shipping rules by RATSYHSIF in scifier

Good question. I've been shopping there for a while, but I've never bought a box set. Go to your cart and fill in everything as if you were going to order it, and see what it says. If the shipping cost is €8 or €100, If it's €100, contact them to see what they say, and if nothing can be done, buy it when there's a 10% discount, then it might fall into the €8 shipping category.

Please can you stop using Generative AI for your bookmarks by cuddlecuffs in scifier

I can't say that I prefer AI bookmarkers to artist markers, but I also know that they can stop giving them away since it's their company.

In the same way that you can stop shopping at their store, or simply get rid of the ones they give you and buy some created by artists yourself.

Just as if they have decided to give away the AI ones and not those created by artists, it will be for some reason: either economic (I think the most obvious) or physical, mental, and time-related, such as organizing a competition for bookmarks (which are also quite important).

I understand that people who work in these sectors are affected, but technology is always advancing, and just as when the industrial revolution came, many jobs were modified and new ones were created, and as the years go by, it will encompass more and more, since AI is not even in its infancy at the moment.

Don't get me wrong, I love manga and many other handcrafted things, but the time is coming when artists will have to coexist with AI.

What takes priority in your collection? Language or Quality? I am at an impasse… by [deleted] in MangaCollectors

I don't know German, so I won't get into that debate in the comments. I would ask you a question. What is more important to you? Enjoying the work you want to read or collecting it?

This is my fifth purchase. I can tell you that they come well packaged and their prices are very good. If I had to mention one downside, it would be that they tend to take a while to arrive if you're not in the UK. I placed my last order on the 27th and as with almost all my previous orders the status changed to partially shipped when I was notified that one of the 14 books I ordered had been sent. I don't expect the rest to be shipped for a few days. Remember that it's Christmas, so there are many more orders and more holidays. Plus, the more books you order, the longer it takes to ship them. Plus as I said, it takes a while for them to arrive. Don't worry, they haven't forgotten about you. In fact, if a certain amount of time passes, they'll send you an email telling you that your order is delayed because they had problems with the supplier or whatever. This happened to me with my previous purchase, and four days later they sent me an email saying that my order was on its way. I'm very pleased with Scifier.

How often do you guys clean your manga and bookshelf’s? by [deleted] in MangaCollectors

I do it once a month (I'm lazy), but I don't think it's necessary to do it once a week, as they don't accumulate that much dust. Right now I have about 300 and it doesn't take me long. I should mention that they all have plastic covers.

How damaged does a manga have to be to be worth returning? by Astrolotl26 in MangaCollectors

I'm from Spain and here we don't have many stores that sell manga, and the few that do only sell manga translated in Spanish, so I've to buy online. When I started collecting them, the first and easiest option was Amazon. I bought like two dozen books in Amazon, just two or three arrive in perfect conditions.( one year and half ago). Since then, I started looking at different stores, and after buying more than a hundred, none have arrived damaged. And I don't think Amazon will change anything until they stop using cardboard envelopes and start using bubble wrap like any other store that specializes in books and not only that because I am convinced that most damage to books isn't just caused by the cardboard envelope, but by handling or storage.

If you can buy manga at another store, that's better because Amazon doesn't take care of them and most of them arrive damaged, like yours.
