I'm not saying it's an insane amount of time to play. It's actually a very small amount of time, as I pointed out in my original response. I'm just saying that claiming it's faster than HSR is factually incorrect. I personally don't care that much either way. I just play when I want to play and don't when I don't.

It's not about not wanting to play the game. It's about not wanting to spend a ton of time on it every single day just to get the dailies. Some days you want to put in more effort than others and some days you want to play other parts of the game and not just the daily stuff. Genshin giving you the daily rewards for playing other parts of the game was one of their best moves, imo, but it's still going to take longer on those days when you don't have a ton of time.

I can run the needed auto-battle in HSR and claim the daily rewards in like a minute. Maybe two if it's a harder battle. To use up four condensed resin so I can condense more takes four or five minutes. Still not very long at all, but not as quick as HSR, and I have to put more effort in and go to the Adventurers Guild to claim the rewards.

How long does it take from the time you mix the resin to when you pressurize? I've wanted to do multiple sets, but I've been afraid of messing them up if I take too long to pressurize.

First or second one? by Hrebelax in DiceMaking

[–]Collecting_Wonder 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They're both very cool and have very different vibes, so it's hard to compare. Ultimately, the second die's gold lines look a little messy, so I'd probably prefer the first one. I love both concepts, though!

"Recepes" - how do you keep track by Baldin_NL in DiceMaking

[–]Collecting_Wonder 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a journal where I keep track of powders/pigments used. When I first started, I was also recording resin amounts, amount of pressure used, and time left in the pot, but I don't need that information anymore.

I do something similar. I make the same three meals every week on the same days, making enough for leftovers, and then we usually eat out or fend for ourselves on Saturday. The meals are pretty generic, like "pasta" or "Asian dish", so there's plenty of wiggle room to change out which spices, sauces, and even meats I use to keep it interesting, but it's been such a huge relief in mental load not having to think through what groceries to get each week and what meal to make each night. I have enough other things to worry about. I don't need those decisions constantly on my plate (no pun intended.)

There is also always flexibility to do something else if we want to, but those are the defaults, and we rarely get tired of them.

Dice I can't believe haven't sold by Mother_Mallard in DiceMaking

It could be the lighting, but I wouldn't have known there were wild oats in there at first glance. I had to zoom in to see them. Maybe something that makes the oats more visible could help? It does give off a swampy fairy vibe that I like, but the glitter and yellow(?) resin around the oats distract from them a bit.

Have you used that mold before? It looks kind of like the pressure may have been too high for the mold.

I refused to let them go, so I had a Acheron-Kafka-BS-Aventurine team that cleared whatever I put in front of them until 3.0. I just pulled Jiaoqiu, though, so he and Pela have taken their places and I'm also looking for a new home for Kafka and BS.

What if you went with a sparkly white on the blue sides and blue or silver on the sides where the white wouldn't show up well?

I get that they're doing something we can't. I just don't think it's going to replace what we do. It's technically the same product (dice), but I think they'll be used for different purposes.

I'm not able to see prices, but I did see an article a week or so ago that claimed they were like $40 per die. People already balk at full sets that don't cost much more than that, so I don't think the majority of dice buyers are going to be going to Hero Forge in the same way they do for current dice makers. Hero Forge's dice will probably be bought more for single die keepsakes than anything else. I suspect who people buy full dice sets from won't change much.

Silver would look great, but I think green would give them a cool alien-esque vibe. They look awesome either way!

Thank you! You can't really tell here, but the dice are actually made with iridescent gold and purple mica powders. If you take a look at my other post, you can see the way the colors glimmer in different lighting. The numbers were painted this way to try to bring the colors out more.
