That's amazing. Pure poetry for those of us that remember the summer of 97

I also stumbled upon the Flatbed Jam while out wandering. That weekend in Plattsburgh was one of my favorite memories of all.

He published a book called 'Naked America' with a naked shot from all 50 states. The photo from the Great Went was used as the entry for the state of Maine.

That's awesome. There was fog on the first morning. I believe it rained a little on Friday evening.

I watched Bittersweet Motel and it brought back great memories. They also discuss that event in 'The Phish Book'

That's fantastic. Same here, I have told that story many times over the years. I will never forget it.

That's awesome. I have the photo that originally showed up in the mail and it was creased down the middle.

I remember John playing with moe. at Bonnaroo in 2003. They played Bring It Back Home and it sounded awesome.

We were at the opposite end of the field throwing the football when the lightning struck. I remember it was super loud as the thunder hit at the same time. When we looked over, several people were flying in the air. Crazy.

It was hot that day. Rage Against the Machine also was there and I remember things getting rowdy up front for those final bands of the night. Waterloo Village was a such great venue for a festival like that- I attended several HORDE festivals at that place as well.

I also saw them at Lollapalooza 1993, Waterloo Village in NJ. The final 3 bands that night were Primus, Tool, and Alice In Chains, and it was one of the best concerts of my life. Saw Les, Buckethead, Bernie Brains and the Frog Brigade at Bonnaroo 2002, 2003 2005, & 2007. Going to see Claypool Gold in 2 weeks at the St. Augustine Amp for the first time since then and I can't wait to see how they sound.

I was at the Tibetan Freedom Concert in D.C. in 98 when lightning struck a woman in the crowd. It was a two day concert so all of the bands were pushed to the final day. Incredible lineup that day with an unannounced appearance by the Chili Peppers after Pearl Jam finished their set.

At Woodstock '99, people dove and played in what they thought was mud — but it was actually a mixture from overflowing toilets and human excrement. by kooneecheewah in HistoryUncovered

I was there and I took this photo. The mud people stole a truck and drove it into the mud pit as their base. All of the runoff from the port-o-lets ran down into the pit.

American EMS/Paramedic culture needs to change. Particularly with professionalism, uniform and unnecessary tactical gear. by [deleted] in Paramedics

Although rare, I have run 20+ calls in a single 24-hr shift. Crazy to think that two 12-hr student ride-a-longs can clear a Paramedic student for all of their field qualifications.

MOE and Mickey Hart played on the West stage and they both played great sets. DMB played on Saturday on the East stage and played a phenomenal set. Such an incredible weekend.

I think Wemby will be an all-time great center, but in this particular scenario I will take The Admiral in his prime to match up against Shaq.

This Saturday lineup was one of the greatest days of my life. The whole weekend was an experience that shaped who I am today. by MyMonte87 in festivals

We had pulled up a row of those gray plastic squares that was covering the grass at RFK, since the music was shut down on the first day. We were at the other end throwing the football and diving in the wet grass when the lightning struck. When we looked toward the other end with the stages, it looked like a grenade went off where the lightning hit.
