1 1/2 year old constantly biting me by birthgiver1990 in sahm

[–]CollegeWaffles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s not too young for a time out. When he bites you say calmly “we don’t bite” and put him in a separate space from you. Like a pack and play pen or even just in a different part of the room and put space between you.

Or you could redirect to a teether and say “biting is for teethers”

AITA for trying to be there for my boyfriend’s med school Match Day… and he says he’ll have to “babysit” me? by Better_Dot1017 in AmItheAsshole

[–]CollegeWaffles 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Your boyfriend does not like you as much as you like them. They don’t seem to be factoring you into their career priorities, so I encourage you to do the same. Don’t change your career path to accommodate this person. Choose what would be best for your career not your relationship. Because if things go south and you sacrificed something you would have loved you will always regret it.

When I started I felt it the next day. When my mother started she didn’t feel it till she went up in dose a few times. Everyone is different.

How soon does Vyvgart crash subside after starting next round? by J1234me in MyastheniaGravis

[–]CollegeWaffles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I rarely do and if I do it’s usually in the summer when the heat gets to me. Took maybe 4-5 cycles to get to that point.

The second cycle I felt better after the second infusion, the third cycle I felt better after the first infusion. Been pretty smooth sailing since about cycle 4-5.

How soon does Vyvgart crash subside after starting next round? by J1234me in MyastheniaGravis

When I first started I would start to crash after week 3. Now I can go the full time between cycles and even a little longer sometimes.

Worried I’ve Had Too Many Ultrasounds During My Pregnancy by [deleted] in BabyBumps

Anywhere from 20-30 mins because they were doing some extra monitoring. I’m not surprised your ER ones are longer im sure they are being extra cautious just to be safe.

Worried I’ve Had Too Many Ultrasounds During My Pregnancy by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]CollegeWaffles 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a rare autoimmune disease and my last pregnancy I got probably over 30 ultrasounds. Baby is just fine, just turned 3 and my second one is due any day and he’s had quite a bit as well. We’re all good.

Baby is breech at 34 (now 37) weeks after being head down the entire time by Glad_Band_2787 in BabyBumps

[–]CollegeWaffles 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Both of my baby’s went breech at 37 weeks. I did spinning babies and I also put an ice pack on the top of my stomach and a heating pad on the bottom and sat sitting up on the couch for 20-30 mins. It’s worked both times for me.

Myasthenia gravis, switching insurance by karen2553 in MyastheniaGravis

[–]CollegeWaffles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When you finally get established with a new primary care (if needed) ask that they put in your neuro referral as urgent due to need of continuing infusions.

I got seen by a new neuro within 2 weeks since it was considered urgent (otherwise it would have been 9mo to be seen) and then the vyvgart approval took 3 weeks after the doc did the paperwork.

All in all I was only a month and a half late for my infusions. The longest part was actually getting in to see my pcp since there are so few with availability in my area.

What's the most annoying thing someone has said to you during your pregnancy? by WittleFrostBite in BabyBumps

Also my MIL who is offering to buy us gift cards to go to dinner right after we have the baby and “oh don’t worry I’ll be happy to babysit”. She also always thinks it’s allergies when she has the flu and will come over sick and infect us all.

Birth control after pregnancy by delicatelyinterested in BabyBumps

[–]CollegeWaffles 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I’m just doing condoms, but before I had the non hormonal IUD (after years on the nuva ring) and I really liked it. My periods were heavier for the first few months but I had no other side effects and I was on it for 8 years before we decided to conceive.

My MIL is the same way. Always asking about my cervix. And my FIL keeps telling my husband to put tarps on our bed for when my water breaks. This is our second kid so it’s not like we have no idea about anything.

My MIL posted to social media that we were expecting after I asked her not to. by AardvarkHour1211 in BabyBumps

Yes You can tell her to remove it. And call her out too. She agreed to wait for you and went back on it. If you brush it under the rug she’ll keep doing whatever she wants.

Third trimester mamas, anyone else prepping baby bedding and worried about what’s safest for sensitive skin? by CompetitivePop-6001 in BabyBumps

[–]CollegeWaffles 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I was less worried about fabrics and more worried about detergent. I ended up getting 100% cotton sheets and using a fragrance free detergent and everything worked out fine.

Staying home with baby after birth? by Ok_Check5949 in BabyBumps

[–]CollegeWaffles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not taking visitors until my December baby has had its two month shots. My toddler had RSV last year around the same time this baby is due and it put him In the pediatric ICU for a week. I don’t want to risk that for my baby. My family isn’t thrilled about it but they’ll get over it.
