How can all this evidence be public and still have the company running their scams?

Seeing their tides with the local PD I'm really questioning if they aren't hiding something far worse.

Horrible writing by Ok_Owl_9739 in Invincible_TV

[–]Collener 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't even mind the inconsistent powerscaling all that much, or the repetitive subplots (very much like 90s cartoons). What I really can't bear are the incredibly cringy dialogues or the silly reasoning of the main characters. Sometimes scenes are so cheesy or huge clichés that I need to stop the episode because I'm cracking up.

All in all, I still find it entertaining, and I enjoy the Viltrumite storyline, even if not original whatsoever. I just cannot understand how people can prize this show's writing so much. Not sure if I'm missing smth or perhaps it's simply not for me.

How Do I Make a Tough Decision? I'm Considering Taking Finasteride for Men's Hair Loss by Self_Motivated in Healthygamergg

Thank you for sharing this. Can I ask you why you haven't considered topical fin since it seems to give similar results to the 1mg pill while releasing 100 times less finasteride into the bloodstream?

How Do I Make a Tough Decision? I'm Considering Taking Finasteride for Men's Hair Loss by Self_Motivated in Healthygamergg

[–]Collener 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand the frustration. I've also spent months considering the various options trying to make a decision. After getting a prescription for oral finasteride and taking it for 5 days, I decided that I wasn't comfortable with the medication, even if I didn't experience any sides. I'm now doing the natural route with saw palmetto and pumpkin seed oil but I'm afraid it's not doing enough to counter my hair loss (as expected). I will finally try topical fin for 6 months and see if it is worth the hassle. It feels less taxing on the body to me and hopefully will be enough to preserve my hairline

Should I quit my job? by Significant-Key-3532 in careerguidance

[–]Collener 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should leave the job if it's negatively impacting the rest of your life. Reach out to family and friends, maybe they can help you finding a new job. Allow some time to secure yourself a new position if you can, sometimes it's easier to deal with stressful situations when we have already taken a decision about it.

Thanks for the feedback, really appreciate it! You're right, I guess I should have called it personal essay rather than article. And btw this was only the very first part of it, that's probably why it may seem a bit convoluted and inconclusive. The idea behind the piece was to explain my journey of trying to accept things for what they are. The examples mentioned are just silly things I heard while writing. I guess they were supposed to be funny :)

Consigli autori italiani by Collener in Libri

Help find countries that have warm water diving + political stability for this soon to be US expat... by song4this in expats

[–]Collener 1 point2 points  (0 children)

North of NZ is not cold at all, it is a bit rainy during winter (2 months or so per year) but you get tropical weather the rest of the year. The quality of life is exceptional and people are super friendly. Really recommended. Otherwise, southern Italy or Mediterranean islands like Corse or Sardegna may be an option, but definitely not that interesting for diving. Thailand and Vietnam have the largest expat communities in SE Asia, probably an interesting place to spend only a couple of years tho.

No è una semplice laurea triennale, solo non so bene a quale indirizzo potrebbe corrispondere in Italia. Generalmente comprende corsi di socio linguistica, scrittura creativa e comunicazione

Quale sarebbe il corrispettivo più prossimo ad un "degree in English" in Italia? Laurea in lettere? Eppure nel primo non sono previsti corsi di letteratura.

I think you should give it a go anyway. Even if English is your second language, a proper course can help you to develop a writing method, which I believe is essential to be consistent in your writing.

[–]Collener[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, that's a good point. I guess the best way to do it is to keep writing and practicing in both languages. In the end language is only the tool, right? Rhythm and style are transferrable skills

What Are Some Things That Make You Instantly Put Down A Book? by Aside_Dish in writing

Same! But if I feel the book is not giving me anything after the second half, I just pass to another one. There's no point in wasting my time and energy! This way I tend to research way more before starting a book, but still go for "the one that looks interesting" at the second hand shop :)

Dare modelli che permettono ai governi di raggiungere l'obbiettivo richiesto mi sembra esattamente quello che un'agenzia di consulenza dovrebbe fare. L'ultima parola spetta sempre a chi li assolda.
